Same as before the draft, he needs to find a way to get dangerous near goals. That (generous) free might have been his only touch while playing forward.

He doesn’t look like the player I had hoped we’d get. He’s busy enough but so far has lacked the polished X-factor to make him dangerous around goal.

This will sound very unkind but prior to last night if someone had asked me how Benny Barrett was progressing I would have had to check to see if we had a Benny Barrett on our list.

At least he looks like he can kick straight and that is a good start. Benny is of Papuan descent so he is a trailblazer in that regard. Papua New Guinea is Rugby League mad and they have adopted League as their National Sport so hopefully Benny can stick it up 'em and make a success of Aussie Rules.

I was impressed by his clean hands while team mates fumbled and bumbled and good physical development already. He would probably be playing reserves and building his craft in another world then would be promoted. But he has to play league.

I was reading something recently about how he used to frequent an arts supply store in Cambridge in the 90's & early 2000's and grumble about the prices to the staff working there, they were shocked when he passed & saw photos of him past & present all over the papers as they had no idea he was a founder of Pink Floyd he was just old mate grumble guts lol.

He looked great against South. Never fumbled even though it was a game of fumbles. Each kick and handball was effective and he kicked a set shot goal from 50m. Needs to be encouraged because he's pretty promising.
