How has no one been fired yet. Disappointing.
not that you asked for it but, this is my approximation of where we are.

The people who can affect change are all in positions with high power and low sackability.

People in positions where they can get fired from are not going to be able to affect change.

If we are sacrificing anyone at this alter it will be some assistants maybe brady and then some fringe type players.

I wonder if Sheez asking for a trade would set the cat amongst the pigeons. Surely where he is at is not how someone so methodical saw his career panning out.

Good visualisation.

I generally agree with your positioning however if you put a gun to my head I'd make some minor adjustments.

If we're keeping SH where she is at top left as a reference point, then I'd move the following people as such;
  • JW significantly more to the right. I'd have her near the middle line.
  • BM more to the left - they're not going anywhere.
  • TV power down a little bit. About in line with where BR currently is. Also probably move him one or two spots to the right.
  • SP** move them up two spots, and right one spot.
    • Some overlap with LCP***
  • Assistant Coaches one or two spots more sackable.
  • BR up one for power, and across two for sackability.

Thanks for sharing but do you really think players not playing would be sitting in the stand hitting the pi55? Also, I don't think the injured/dropped players travel interstate with the team. Just doesn't add up to me.
Sure as hell shouldn't be, but my source is a very reliable female colleague who just doesn't make stuff up for the hell of it. Only told me yesterday, not as if she has made up some nonsense while at the game to wind me up.

Is there a time when the AFL steps in and says, you are incapable of righting this ship on your own, let us assist you? I would accept almost anything that is going to sort us out in some way at this point
(in saying that I think the AFL is barely capable of running their own show atm, let alone ours).
Assuming they actually care enough...

Point is even after you make basically all of your moves there isn't going to be an ah ha moment of oh we should sack this person.

it is a collective shitf*** of a situation where there are f*** all options for us to use.

THe main gripe I have is how are we here again?

at the end of 2020 people had to go, at the end of 2022 people had to go and now it feels like at the end of 2025 people should go but can't (lest someone falls on their sword).

mired neck deep in loose stool water is where we are.

No, they wouldn't.
They would only step in to try and wind us up.

Honestly hoped they were going to do it with the first round trade.
No, I lie, sorry. The Caleb Daniel ****ing trade

Not questioning you at all - I would have posted that if someone told me. I'm just saying it doesn't add up as it is very unlikely non players would have been there in Sydney. If true, its shameful.

We asked them for assistance - repeatedly - and they gave us a bag of potatoes (literally). We asked for NGA access (and rules were changed a year later), we asked for actual priority picks... list goes on. They don't want us strong in any way. If we could claw our way to 12th and plateau for the next 50 years they'd be wrapped. Job done.

Well, my colleague is a 57 yo lady Executive Assistant to an ASX top 20 company CEO. Not the sort of person to just make up random stuff.

There will be no wholesale changes while Hood is President. She made Clarkson a priority in her first year and we all applauded her. It's nearly 3 years now and either Clarko has lost it, or he doesn't have the right support around him. I'm sure Todd and Clarko know what success looks like but something ain't clicking below them.

Is the game plan out of style, too complicated, not suited to the list or we just have Malaka's for players? Who the hell knows from the outside but surely it has been identified inside. Some of us look at the players, some the coaching and some Hood and Watt but whatever it is, where is the leadership to identify and resolve issues? Hood smiling in the rooms after we got hammered made me angry. Showed a lack of awareness which is not a great trait to have as a President. What was so funny that made her laugh only minutes after the game, while most of us were pissed off well into Monday. That's 2 days suffering we have endured while Hood and the players stopped mourning at the final siren.

Something is not right but the apparent lack of desire shown to fix it, is telling. Only Forwards , your box chart is spot on.

You have Clarkson reporting into his mate Viney, and above Viney is Watt who appears completely disinterested in the football department.

With this awful setup, all accountability is left to the president, who is probably in a situation where she would be next out the door should Clarkson be sacked with two years remaining on his deal.

I'm not advocating for sacking Clarkson, but you can't read the above and think that there's an acceptable level of accountability within the club. Clarkson is smart enough to have this figured out, and from the comments he puts out to the media it's clear that he knows there are no expectations on him to perform.

One of Todd Viney or Jen Watt needs to be replaced with somebody motivated and capable of turning the football department into a professional organisation.

The above doesn't even touch on Rawlings, who gets part of his responsibilities stripped away each year instead of the club biting the bullet and firing him. I've defended Rawlings before, but it's at a point now where we need to try something new. The fact that it hasn't happened yet demonstrates a disappointing lack of urgency by the clubs key decision makers.

💯

Sonja is the rotting head. It starts with her, then goes down. Btw people forget Sonja does this same “smiling, laughing, cuddling players” after every single game whether it’s a loss or win. What they have done to our once tough, shinboner club 💔

It sends the wrong message and reinforces bad habits.

Can’t remember which coach and president it was but Brad crouch one game went so soft in a lot of contests in a game.

He was pulled up in front of the entire group “if you don’t want to defend both ways for our club, you can go pack your bags immediately”

North though

gives hugs, smiling, offering pats on the back we will get better boys, we can hope, we know we’re at*

They are treating us fans as a bloody joke.

We have never ever seen an opposition player completely disrespect North like Heeny wanting to stay on so he can stat pad and danger eating a kebab after coming off, laughing about it.

if I was a player I’d be so angry but who cares as no one above is going to back me up.

Until she goes and we get a strong figure that will take winning seriously, actually care about success instead of laughing and smiling like we’re a joke, we are not changing a ****ing thing

Couldn’t say it any better.

I would get rid of in this order and replace them with someone that bleeds for success:

1. Sonja
2. Jen
3. Brady
4. Todd
5. Emma

1. Brady - gone.
2. Watt - what are her achievements?

(big gap)

3. Demote Jy from Captain in 2026 moving forward.
4. Trade/delist underperforming players
5. Assistant Coaches - need a massive clean out and upgrade
