I was really impressed with Gallop. Did a lot of little things which enabled us to break even in a contest. Day was sloppy towards the end but should have kicked 2 in the first quarter.

I love Bailey but caught him napping on defensive pressure a fair few times tonight, doesn’t always have the desperation (but likely will in finals)

So in the wash up, the draw against North was as good as a win.

But the loss to Melbourne cost us Top 2

Normally the Lions v Cats would be Saturday but the AFL need to be a little accommodating to the Suns if they win by the required margin 30+ to finish 7th to fly all the way to WA to face the Dockers so I think Cats v Lions on a Friday night packed MCG

the Amon call - with the pressure building I think it was one of those ones where he wanted it to go to a team mate to either fumble it over the line or was going to maybe going to get tackled over the line. So imo he didn’t want it to stay in, issue was he was the one to do it and it just looked casual.
Probably stiff. But they refused to pay htb on Meek and that diabolical call on Starcevic.

Frustrating game for a 'neutral' going for the Lions in terms of scoring, I imagine doubly so for actual Lions supporters, but other than that you dominated. I think you've rediscovered that late 2024 form, looking ominous, and with so many outs.

First up, the umpiring tonight was DISGRACEFUL! They gave so much latitude to Hawks players who were tackled and incorrectly disposed of the ball. Then Jasper Fletcher gets pinged for holding the ball when he is tackled a nano-second after taking possession. Umpires appeared to be doing their level best to gift the game to Hawthorn.

Its been an issue for years, but thankfully it clicked last years finals series, and hope it will this year. Hoping either Adelaide or Brisbane take it, or basically any interstate side over Geelong, Collingwood or Hawthorn, even Freo.
