He wasn’t wrong though. Anyone playing at another club not winning brownlows is a spud and only worth a late 4th according to this board.

He’s come back a different player though. Maybe more to do with the more attacking role Yze has given him. I do remember him getting towelled up a couple of times playing as a deep defender.
Yze mentioned in a podcast a month or so ago, that he was running straight past our small forwards, and it was a wow moment.
I’m not sure his kicking was to this level prior to his ACL, again maybe it’s more to do with the different role he’s playing.

Must have picked something up on his trip to Samoa.

I guess when we did that, Gibcus was out 2 years, Young coming off an ACL and Miller was only establishing himself. We really only had Balta.

Do you mean that they add together to 2 contracts, even though one is a sell and one a buy?

Cause the maths would be Allen's minus Starcevich's. But I can imagine the AFL going 'oops, hit the wrong key on the spreadsheet. Oh well looks like a big contract there'.

I 100% mean they will ask the AFL to change the minus to a plus. With their powers combined band 1 compo will be possible.

But we still arent playing him in defence, Yze came out and said hes better as a defender the other day. Dimma kept saying this, yet he still ends up not playing there. He's not that good up the ground, if he's not the starting FB/CHB next season, Id be letting him go now. He's not good enough to keep moving around, the last few years he hasnt even been great as a defender, he clearly needs to train fulltime as a defender to remain good as one.

Sydney would have to offer this years pick 9, next years 1st and possibly a player to prise pick 2 from the WCE. Sheldrick and Warner were touted as possibilities of heading west but they've both signed 2 year extensions.

Don't know why they're going the convoluted path rather than dealing direct, maybe Carltoon have set the cost as at least a top 2 pick?
