Sydney would not be desperate to get rid of Warner. Desperation is thinking that.

Maybe, but if they have floated the trade of McDonald + pick 9 then it's a negotiation. Not too far of a stretch to go Warner instead.

Where it ends could be interesting. They must really want pick 2.

it is an extreme stretch to go to Warner. It's like asking Shuey in a trade instead of Quinten Lynch.

Harry Boyd delisted for the Saints. Good VFL numbers and only one AFL game but going off that his stats, he matched up better in that game against ROB than Flynn did in his two match ups. Only 198cm?

Could do worse than Harry to help the younger brigade. He'd probably beat Flynn more often than not in actual ruckwork but less so in overhead marking. One of the better backups going around but saints not the right fit for him with Marshall never being ousted, freak Dodson (he'll be very, very good) on the list and then was injured second half of the year and tried out of position. He is a pure ruck and nothing more, plays the same way as Xerri, just shorter. Toweled up TDK and Pitt in the pre season but ROB brought him back a peg in round 1. Very good at hitouts and hitting mids on the tit, tackling and following it up like a bulldog with pressure and getting clearances. Not so good at marking around the ground and getting involved in play like a modern AFL ruck, he's a brawler and slow off the mark. Ruck rule change may go against his style but I'd still take him for a backup to ROB at the crows personally. Essendon probably another.

Logan isn't very good, gets overrated because he was drafted behind Will Phillips.

If 10 gets us one of Schubert or Cumming where Cal has them roughly and one of those three yes I’d do it by on trading Logan with the Dees. HAVE to take Sharp at 1 then.

Steele maybe not but with 2 mids coming in and most Saints fans will tell you it doesn’t work great with him a Macrae.

Then came out and pretty much said it's breaking the (contract) Law by approaching contracted players.

Then says "leave our contracted players alone".

Our issues are midfield and ruck and we aren’t giving up pick 2 for a ruck

In my opinion - and I said this a long time ago - he lacks the athleticism to be anything better than just pretty good. Bit like Jack Williams

He's a 40 goal a season forward currently. Well ahead of where OA & Waterman were at the same age.
