Petracca was a near death experience that shook him and his family.
Maybe why he isn't playing on ball as much?
Need to wonder who you are trading in. 2022 Petracca or 2026 Petracca.

Fast forward 3 years and they will be gone or close to the end.
Hope the Hawks keep ignoring the draft and keep chasing the sugar hit 30 year olds. If it doesn't work they will be rebuilding again in 3 to 4 years. We can but hope.
Won’t be much good at the Blues with crazy Vossy at the club. That said his kicking skills are more in tune with Carlton than Hawthorn…

Sounds like you should probably just worry about your own rabble of a club. Not saying it was you but there were multiple WC fans from your board that openly stated that they wished Barrass would miss with injury and none of you called them out.
It's all good to be upset with a player deciding to leave but it's pretty poor form if you ask me and if it was on our board they would've swiftly got a thread ban a grilled by everyone for going there.
Posters who said that were given a slap.

No deflection whatsoever. I just find it very amusing that you seem to think that us bringing in TB last season for what was fair value mind you (2 x 1st rounders LOL) and that IF we do decide to bring in Petracca via trade that it's going have us dropping off a cliff.
The fact remains the the West Coast Football club are our bunnies and always have been.

Why the hell would Melbourne salary dump Petracca? His worth has gone down from last year sure, but that is insanity to suggest.
At least 2 more premierships I’d say and with a bit of luck even a Norm Smith Medal

Advice from west coast posters on list management. This thread has really gone off the rails in more than one way now.
We have 7 players starting 2026 30 and above 2 of which (Breust and frost) who don’t really play afl anymore. Our list is in fine shape.
Petracca is exactly the type of player the hawks lack. How close he can get to his prime form is a question of course but worth risking as a close version moves the needle for us. To me a few things are clear:
1. after recovering from a horrendous injury and getting through the season unscathed, he will be better placed to attach 2026.
2. a new environment where his strengths are complementary is likely to lead to better performance.
3. leaving the Dees is the quince paste on top of the King Island Camembert cake.

I often get shocked how insufferable other club's posters can be and then I remember I'm on bigfooty and it all makes sense
Petracca has nothing to do with Ryan.

Is it school holidays? How old are you BTW?
Here's some advice. Repeating something silly over and over doesnt mean it will happen. And no-one on here is actually controlling any trades.
As I said earlier, email your club 50 times a day if you want. They look like they have committed to trading in Ryan under contract. That wont come for free or a future 2nd rounder.
Why would he leave for a club on the way down?
He would have done his time rebuilding, if he decided to move in 2028 he would want to move to a contender.
Hawks keep blowing good 1st round picks on 30 year olds just prior to the Tassie team dominating the drafts they wont have much quality youth coming through will they?
And anyway Harley wants a big club who is contending if he moves.
