Mitch Robinson claiming that according to Elijah Hollands' auntie, WC have made contact.

I've also heard through a well connected friend that there is some WC interest in Orazio Fantasia lol.

This offseason could be diabolical if we flip Ryan and Chesser into those two. If I hadn't lived through the 2013 offseason of 'WC are heavily interested in Andrejs Everett and Josh Bootsma' I'd let myself melt, but I need to relax.
Those were the days. I got on air on trade radio a couple of times to link us to Bootsma, was always fun watching the reaction on here.

I watched a number of Saints matches because of NAS, and Caminiti and Tauru were always in defence. Would think with King out they'd give them extended time up forward if that's where they see their futures

Tauru can play forward or back. Caminiti moved to def this year because Howard has been injured almost the entire year, we needed a 195cm+ player to take the big forwards. We are extremely thin on KPD (hence the JSOS and Leek news)

With King out, we could cover him with any of Keeler/Heath/Sharman/Owens, of which none can play as a defender.

Should do our due diligence with Hollands, the lad can play, but I doubt we would go down that path.

Yep there is nothing wrong with Hollands the player. Carlton really missed his run & carry this year. Would fit in well with minis game plane I feel.

Problem is the off-field stuff. If eagles think they can turn it around I’d be happy to have him.

Hogan turned it around with a move interstate with the same issues….

Hollands has already failed to turn it around with a move interstate

So to summarise we're bringing in Holland, Fantasia, Erasmus, Robertson, Ah Chee, Starcevich, Blight, Young, Windhager, McVee, Flanders, Warner and Neale.
I hope we learnt some very valuable lessons from last trade period because I really don’t want to be the club that comes back to it supporters with a handful of mouldy beans.

Bombers want Duursma?
Then you need to really cough up as we want to take him ourselves. 5&6 for 1 and Hawks second and third.

St Kilda want Ryan?
Then you need to give us something we can sell our supporter base. If your players are off the table then go satisfy Brisbane for Ah Chee or **** off.

Carlton want Chesser?
Give us Hollands and a future pick. We’re taking the cocaine freak here so that’s our price.

Swans want Pick 2?
Warner or don’t waste our time.

Throw an offer at Worpel just to scatter the cockroaches (Hawks/Cats)

Throw an offer at Marshall/Steele and see if you can turn their heads

Be aggressive, insinuate bidding on top academy talent to get most from lions and Suns.

Threaten PSD for any trades that stall

And for the love of god keep Bell away from any interviews

Gee picking Carltons deadwood after Owies is self torture and Owies at Carlton wasn’t even a bigger spud as those two

This is fantastic. eaglespremiers does Jimmy know his path to AFL footy at the Saints is now even longer? Offer him good money for a second year player and a two year contract extension and get him to commit and link up with Harley, Noah and Jobe.

Liam Ryan for James Barrat, get it done.

Jimmy is a friend.
Ergo if I knew anything I wouldn't be sharing it on a public forum and potentially jeopardising our friendship.
But you're more than welcome to keep prodding me to see if I'll crack, I guess.

"More goals"

He played 2 more games in a side that gets the ball inside 50 a hell of alot more yet they are averaging the same amount of goals and goal assists per game

I mentioned the marks in my post. Brissy play a very high mark number style...and id argue as a small fwd tackling is more important and Ryan is averaging more

I agree Ah Chee is worth slightly more, but given hes uncontracted and Ryan is, its far closer than your making out imo
Ah chee often gets deployed as a sweeper in defence late in game or when he is struggling to have an impact .

No I think he would make a good third tall back man who could play on talls or small players.. his run and kicking remind me of a taller Chris Waterman…

If we don’t go for a cheap as chips Blight why not chase Jordan Butts at Adelaide… can’t break into their team atm but would get a gig anywhere else.
I feel the elegant solution to our backline problem is just to draft shubert and move Archer back .

Archer can still be a swing man of sorts but his goal kicking is woeful and all the attributes that make him a great KPF prospect make him a great KPD prospect.

Archer should also be rucking with the new rules coming out

If Flanders is chasing more midfield time we certainly have some spots available. He's wasted on a flank.

The Hawks pick would be about right for mine. GC would appreciate the points. I know there's some really highly rated players that'll still be available here in the draft too, but Flanders is exactly in the age/experience bracket we need to be more competitive each week.

The core of my ideal offseason at this point:

Sharp and Duursma with 1 & 2, Flanders for Hawks R1. Ryan for Dodson. Midfield instantly boosted ✅

Ah Chee for whatever later picks are needed. He's underrated here, great contested mark and positioning, actual forward craft to support others. Will bring actual leadership into the forward line on game day. A hairline that'll make Clay feel better. Get him in.

Blight DFA and our NGA picks, expecting we have the list concessions.

Flanders is the perfect player to add with Hawks 1st and instantly upgrades our midfield.
Use 1 & 2 to draft the best mids, Sharp and whatever players we rate and some clubs would be willing to chase a high pick like ESS.
NGA/FS picks and draft done.
Wilson for Ryan with other picks to make it happen or Barrat.
Ah Chee for somewhere around our 2nd round pick.
Starcevich for free from AFL or add a later 3rd round pick to BRI to make it happen.
If Flanders is off the table Davies would be next best.
Blight DFA.
Doesn't look like we are going to get much in the way of a decent ruck.
Use any left over picks for players we can get in trade.

If he can put some kilos on in the off season so he isn't pushed off the ball so easily, he could be very good for us for a long time. But he needs to get stronger in the contest.
Edwards and brock complement each other well . Harry is very good 1 v 1 against strong opponents but lacks mobility.

Brock is the opposite gets moved off the ball but quick on the lead and when the ball hits the deck he recovers very well
