He is still a best 22 player is most afl sides

We honestly don't have enough of those that is why we are the wooden spooners .

A pick that ends up in the 30s may end up not even playing 30 games especially in a weak draft
This is so. But we dont have that many options- just max out our return.

Liam Ryan was crucified, dying on the cross to atone for west coast’s sins. He was buried, and on the third day, he bounced back from the dead, requesting a trade to St Kilda. His resurrection is central to West Coast list build, symbolizing hope, redemption, and victory over sin.

Actually I intend to keep on sinning, hope this doesn't slow down the rebuild.

Anyone else watching Starcevich closely? First time ive really seen him playing. Couple of good chase down tackles so far but not much else. His man is doing what he likes.

Pick 35 for a guy who never plays a game

I thought he was ok. Ah Chee is the one I’m not impressed with. Too old too slow!
Brisbanes small 40m kicking midfield is getting shown up.
Like Adelaide’s mids ; solid and tough and slow. Need size and speed!
I hope we are watching and learning!

Yep agree Ah Chee would suck if he played for us , only getting noticed because he’s playing for a good team, we may as well keep just Ryan if where gonna go after ah chee.

Walter finally mentioned, but the article talks about him and Carlton.

Would the Blues prefer Duursma or CDT or Walter? I think they would prefer Duursma?

Does mention Jed is frustrated with being out of the team atm but that’s expected.

It will be interesting to see if Schofield and Goss are on the money or not.

Triple H in the midfield doesnt look like it’s going to be a thing long term, maybe Triple J up forward is the way Jed, Jobe and Jake.

Starcevich is still a good player. Concussion is a bit of a risk though
Ah Chee seems a bit cooked
agree with Starcevich, if we can get him for no FA affect on OA compo pick then great or trade a 3rd round pick to avoid the issue, 4 years would be decent contract.
Ah Chee had a down game but has been a really good player for a while, probably won't get him for Hawks 2nd round as ADE are keen but somewhere around there would be value, 20-25 is probably about right, 3 year contract.

I think they’d want CDT.

Personally I’m of the opinion that we should only get involved in a potential Walter deal if it’s heavily in our favour e.g.

WC give: pick 2, F2
WC get: Jed Walter, pick 6

GC give: Jed Walter, pick 6
GC get: Charlie Curnow

CAR give: Charlie Curnow
CAR get: Pick 2, F2

Definitely not giving 2 outright for Walter, his value shouldn’t be what it was 1-2 years ago.

Starcevich mentioned as an upgrade on Duggan does annoy me a little.
Mostly because it is bollocks
Lol, it’s not bollocks at all.

Duggan is a nothing player, terrible defender, horrible ball skills, doesn’t offer run and carry, he tries hard but he doesn’t have a singular standout attribute.

Starcevich is arguably the best lockdown small defender in the competition and rarely makes mistakes because he knows his limits.

Ah chee is absolutely head and shoulders above many of the spuds we've rolled out over the last 5 years. Would take him in a heart beat as a FA, but not particularly interested in trading market value for him.

That's all fine.
Just opinions.
Think Duggan is underrated.
Don't rate Starcevich as high as others do, personally.
And if he wants to be a midfielder, only heresay, but that is a little silly.
If we get him for next to nothing, I'm fine with that.

*edit still don't think he's an upgrade on Duggan. JMHO
