Los Angeles Hello GIF by LA Clippers

Freo choked, who cares about how

Morning dickheads. Roll another year onto master coach JL’s contract. One and only one way that GC win that game and it’s if both of their midfield beasts go nuts and everything lines up perfectly.

Over to you coach.

Congrats on yet another successful campaign.

Probably mentioned already, but when Swallow was tackled he had possession of the ball and dropped it as a result of the tackle - that's holding the ball, free kick to Freo!
There's no way he was tackled after disposing of the ball, or without the ball.
Shows how bad the umpiring can be in a high stakes game.
Incorrect disposal is my biggest gripe with the afl rules .

Richmond won 3 flags spilling the ball forward in tackles no hand ball or kick just drop it and move it forward .

The advantage rule is BS also . 3 times yesterday GWS were made to bring the ball back when the were out in a continuous play . Yet hawks got advantage every time

Every goal is reviewed anyway, so likely it would've been called back regardless.

Anyway I think Erasmus (?) was appealing for touched instinctively and would've been important if GC took a grab in the goal square.

Other factor is players don't know how much time is left. Them getting a behind vs them getting a goal, in theory you want the first scenario to try and win the game rather than try to get a draw.

Same reason fans at the ground cheered when the goal was over turned, they didn't know it was only 9 seconds on the clock and the worse situation for them.

Clear free kick but I do think Cox was unlucky with how it played out. Swallow got there first, half took possession then the ball spills out and Cox has already committed to the tackle. Clear free kick but not really much else he could’ve done.

Cox buried his head down and into Swallows back (this is all sounding very sex life mate etc) to punish him in the tackle; so he somewhat over committed but there wasn't much else he could do in the heat of the moment, can't really put any blame on Cox for the way it unfolded.

Cox really didn't have any other option but as tough and sometimes annoying as it is that kick gets paid 90% of the time,

Luke Partington and Matt Allen going around for Sturt in the sanfl on 7mate

This is why I'm an advocate for having the countdown clock on display at the game. I surely think that players have a right to know how long is left in a game, so they can make decisions accordingly.

Thank *uck for that. Was looking like the worst possible weekend for a long time there.

And Freo have gotten onboard with the Footscray Handball. Talk about blatant throw after blatant throw. The one in the first quarter that led to their opening goal (if memory serves me right) was a particularly spectacular effort. Set the tone.

Just came across this from the other night.

Flopping is fast reaching endemic rates in the AFL. The umps need to better to not get sucked in, but it also needs to be actively stamped out by head office.

Pretty much a 3 goal turn around from a player just blatantly dropping to the ground at the smallest amount of contact.

I honestly feel it was a tactic employed by other teams against Reid this year. Players were probably told that if Reid touches them without the ball, flop, and you are likely to get a free kick.

No blame with how that last behind played out, it's the goal before that where blame can be placed firmly on the Freo defence.
And on the decision for Treacy to drop back inside defensive 50. Mac Andrew followed him, and turns out he's a much better forward than Treacy is a defender.
