Whatever happened to chalky white dog poo?

It used to be everywhere, now you don’t see it anymore.

Okay pretty sure we've discussed this before in another thread.

Did last years draft ruin our football club? Please run through the players the club brought to the club last year and how they’ve ruined us.

No it didn’t but it can certainly be argued (already has been to death) that we payed more than we should have.

The draft fell to us well and Baker has held up his end of the bargain. However if we had a stronger draft hand last year, maybe it would have been us trading with Norf for their F1.

Being soft during trade week hasn’t ruined the club, but it is one of the many reasons we find ourselves as shit as we are

Gee the current generation are as Trump would (did) say, sissies!

Want some real tearjerkers then try Bambi when mum died, Lassie……the come home episode (the fluffy one waving its paw to the viewers at the end of each episode also gets an honourable mention), the end of the 2005 GF and watching the Foxtel 2018 Pelim commentary team at half time is a cracker (although it’s tears of joy watching that one).
I was apparently hospitalised after watching Bambi when I was four suffering from emotional damage

1. CDT
2. Traded for Ess F1 and F2
18. Traded to Bris for Starcevich
Who do you think will be available to us with those Essendon picks next year ?
We need players this draft year, next year will take care of itself.

So a team that need’s experience badly. We are losing Chesser, Allen, Ryan and getting Starcevich in at best

Keep up the good work boys
Chesser isn't very experienced, Allan never plays, but I'll give you Ryan for Starcevich

Well it should hardly be referred to as a disaster then should it! A ridiculous take, stop with the over dramatisation.

I think some are looking at our splitting of picks with mud-tinted glasses. Bad no matter how things turn out.

Let's look at the last couple.
As PNo4 says, pick 3 for our best current player and Bo Allan looks pretty good right now.

As for the previous effort in 2022, having a choice of a draft tampering, 'no way am I coming and if you pick me I'll stay in Melbourne then come as late as possible and leave at the earliest opportunity' Harry (have I played my religion Ace yet?) or getting Ginbey and Hewitt I think we made the absolute best out of the shit sandwich the AFL and Harry gave us.
How would you feel if we had sid draiper or Harvey Langford instead of bo allan and we on traded hawks F1 for Baker?

That's what should have happened if we hadn't been so stupid to trade pick 3

Looks like TAS won't be coming in as soon as we expect. Good news in terms of the next few drafts being so compromised while we rebuild
I thought tas entering the comp when they did was actually a good thing for us. Another two drafts we should have sufficient youth. At that point start filling gaps with trades in compromised drafts.

Not to mention teams entering a rebuild phase were going to be in struggle town.

Thus far not losing too much sleep over Sid Draper. Langford looks decent, but still plenty of time for Bo to show his goods.

I don’t disagree it was a shit trade, but it’s too early to say we won’t come out winners in the end.

Yep CDT & Duursma are the clear top two, so we should absolutely take them 😎
Neither of them are a midfielder.
If we had a decent midfield i wouldn't be as adverse to the idea but when we don't even have one rotation of mids let alone the 2 rotations that teams contending require .

if we don't take sharpe we are ****ing stupid . The exact player we need not just to win the ball but also take the heat off Harley

Well Sid Draper did nothing this year.

Langford was solid this year but way too early to make a call if he was a miss.

Can't really make a call on Hawks F1 Until we see who we get with it or what we use it on. What if that player ends up being as good as Langford or Draper?

Disaster maybe over dramatising, but the point that if we are still overpaying for players this year, we still haven’t learnt anything holds true.

I thought they where going to start getting picks and taking players next year?

In a perfect world 2 drafts may be enough to set us up but if it didn't went be stuck in struggle town.

Draiper couldn't break into the senior side that finished top of the ladder only getting some games as the sub or playing on the flank but he played dam well in the Sanfl . Way more impressive than Bo allen .
