A few seem to be of the opinion that now is a good time to have a crack at moderators or moderation. I'd rather like to discourage that impulse so I'm going to make it explicit: a moderator on this forum is a poster like any other, and can share their views and have free use of the forum like any other. If you feel a post breaches the rules report it; attacking a mod for their posting or objecting to a post purely because a moderator said it is grounds for an infraction and some time off.

I said i didn't see the bit that Kimmel got cancelled for. I only saw Kimmels original video directly after Kirks death that i thought was respectful. This is what i was referring too when i said i wasn't following it.

I just watched the Kimmel bit he was cancelled for and said what he said about Kirk seemed fine so he clearly just got cancelled for throwing barbs at Trump.

That’s the point. Nothing in what Kimmel said was disrespectful to Kirk or celebrated his assassination. His comments were aimed at the MAGA administration’s response.

Agree with the comments or not - they were hardly the most vile thing ever said.

Initially there was something about the shooter being a republican however was inactive and didn't vote in the last 2 elections, than there was some commentary from the family saying in recent years the shooter moved to the far left side of political views.

But ultimately it doesn’t matter (and I don’t care). The act wasn’t one of the right, the left, MAGA or Antifa. It was an individual with his own misguided, not yet understood motivations.

Correct, i said to you that hadn't seen the bit he was cancelled for, and after watching it this morning i agree with most that he didn't say anything that i would find cancel worthy, outside of bagging Trump and Trump just having a sook about it.
