There’s a reason sides don’t win GF’s from outside the top 4 very often. The mental energy required to win finals is significant and it becomes hard to back it up week after week.

Second half you could really see the hawks start to slip and Geelong are too good a side to miss out.

But it is such a ridiculous luxury to be able to throw Danger into the middle when the whips are cracking like the cats can. He’s a freak, really. 3rd quarters are the premiership quarters and his first 5 mins in the 3rd tonight is almost as good as you’ll ever get.

The supporters mirror their team. A long time ago, but I was happy to see them beat Fremantle and then Sydney in the Grand Final. Obviously the following year wasn’t great

Probably won’t ever ‘support’ them in a final as a neutral again, except for when they play Fremantle tbh. Learnt my lesson there.

Merrett helps that but I honestly think Petracca is 100% better suited to their list.

Built a brand as the cocky brash celebrating trash talking team and cannot take a modicum of heat the second it comes back. Sicily going off at anyone near him 24/7, the perfect captain for this version of Hawthorn. Melbourne 2018- had this issue as well.
