Oh Essendon.

That being said, what does our board even do exactly? Honest question. Do they vote on if the players run out of a giant inflatable eagle headed condom before home games and whether they should change the club song?

I didn't say it at the time, and I'm not sure if you were the first, but **** you Bender_ for starting the TB forward callback like a minute before I did :(

Got like 0 likes, was listening at work, went and checked why, got comedy cucked :(
Sent something in calling Mitchell a flog to a podcast listener segment, brought back the Bigfooty memories.
Cuckedy, comeduck?

We will get p2 for Allen. Don't worry.

It'll be the AFLs way of giving us a priority pick without giving us one.
We will get pick 2 for allen because Brisbane will pay him enough so we don't match and they get him for zero draft capital.

If we were to only get an end of first that nets us pick 30 on draft night we just match simple

Boy, am I ever over the controversy over the Elliott-Starcevich non-free kick, and it’s been no more than a day. Here are some stats the Pies lost:

-Disposals (by 70)
-Inside 50s
-Clearances
-Stoppage clearances (35-21)
-Turnovers
-Marks (by 36)
-Tackles
-Disposal efficiency

Also, the Pies:
-played a 32 year old key forward with a significant injury who was terrible
-played an injured 35 year old key defender who was also terrible
-played 37 year old midfielder who was reporting significant “awareness” to the physio before the game and then almost immediately broke down with a classic old guy (calf) injury
-tried to tag a rampant midfielder, one of the best mids in the comp, using a significantly slower 34 year old (which failed miserably)

But sure tell me more about how the entire match boiled down to an unpaid free kick that could not have been played any better by the defending player.

You forgot the 34 year old FIGJAM ruck/forward who dropped an absolute sitter of a chest mark with the first kick of the game, and was also terrible

Also reading some of the comments along the lines of "the massive leg up the AFL give the Lions its no wonder we cant beat them".
Like they don't get half a season of no travel and have every free agent asking if they want them isn't a massive leg up.

They don't even understand that with those leg ups it just makes it an even playing field.

The 37yo reporting significant awareness to the physio before the game and still playing is peak selfishness. Knowing it's likely the last chance he has before the cleanout begins.

Listening to McRae after, he lamented the lions youth, particularly the 20yo 6 gamer that kicked 3 goals, and gave a hint there is change a foot at the pies.

Poor old Darcy still believes they have another shot at it next year, and the coach doesn't.

As it was with the Rayner double free kick against Geelong...its the worst thing to ever happen to any team in the history of the AFL.

The outrage we would see if a Geelong or Collingwood copped the umpiring the Swans got in the 2016 GF would be nuclear.
FWIW, I thought it was a free kick.
But for Jon Ralph to come out and say "It was one of the worst non-free kicks of the year".

Spare me.

Thats just it you could make a case either way which really doesn't make it the howler they are making it out to be.
I didn't think it was a free. My understanding in that scenario is if you keep your eyes on the ball and get the footy first then contact can happen.
