Yeah I don't know what's going on or why nobody seems to be mentioning this online but multiplayer is definitly active right now. I'm in my third game of conquest.

Just played 5 minutes on PS5. I usually play in performance mode for games since I don’t have a 4K TV but balanced mode is really good in this one, runs 60fps.

If you have an old tv like mine, perf mode will give you screen tearing.

Also, game without the campaign is less than 50GB.

The one knock I have on this game is that it is a bit conservative. No flair either theres a lot of grey and plainness to the menus.

Yeah the UI is not great at all, I don't know why they are so adverse to using colour in the menus.

Played about an 1.5 hours online. It’s a bit jaggy, but it was ok was expecting way worse though. Will have another go later.

lol I just wanted to jump in to test settings, have a single game then set my alarm and get up mid morning. Probably would have been in on the dot if I didn't check first to see if I had secure boot enabled on my new PC

edit: already down to 344k after only a few minutes. Might twiddle my thumbs for another 15 minutes otherwise I'll call it a night. It's like the old days of trying to log on to WoW the night of a new expansion! (actually no that could take 4-5 hours)

It actually didn't take long!

Crap time to try and play though. Played two games, didn't know what game to search (so just did custom search and enabled only the modes I wanted to try) and landed in a truly international lobby (lots of Chinese character names and people typing in Spanish) and then a mostly bot lobby. Assuming when I wake up it will be local.

I couldn’t even get the chopper off the ground in the beta, but I’ve had a couple of goes today and I have found piloting the chopper is actually quite smooth even though it feels a little different.

I got the chopper stuck in the construction building on Mirak Valley I think last night. Was expecting it to blow up on contact BF4 style.

I hate escalation so far. Especially on Mirak. Good idea to make 1/6th of the map playable and add 50 vehicles into it.

I skipped the beta because I was going to get this regardless, but now I see what everyone meant by the quicker TTK! I've put in 7 hours so far and have definitely adjusted (often near the top of scoreboards now) but there have been a few games where my team is getting pumped and it's just instant death to even spawn because you're being shot from every direction and it only takes 4 direct hits from most automatic weapons to die and it definitely wasn't fun. Still trying to find my identity and how I want to play though. I used to main engi/anything anti vehicle but so far I'm gravitating towards support.

Most Battlefield thing I've seen today was my team were defending a point on conquest and a squad of enemies were holed up in a two story building. We were peppering the windows and throwing grenades inside. Then one of our tanks simply drives up and straight into the face of the building and the entire wall collapsed exposing everyone inside which we mowed down. Then as we were running off for some reason a fighter jet flew nose first into the same building.

Had a few hours on this last night with Quiv and co, and played a few hours today.

Lag was horrendous last night, has stabilised a bit today and it’s been pretty enjoyable, including a couple of 5 kill streaks.

Takes me back to 10 years ago, playing FPS - it’s been a while!
