Yeah no doubt that Petracca is going to make the side significantly better.
Someone with game winning and big game experience, a guy that can win a 1 v 1, bust a tackle, kick a big goal from 50.
He's going to win you games.
If Rowell or Anderson is down (or injured) he gives us another top line option.

The kicking / goal efficiency just highlights something that is a bit of a flaw in his game - not something I was really aware of before.

as mentioned by others - the stats I showed include analysis of all shots at goal, not just those that score.

We had Ainsworth and Flanders hitting targets and having no impact on games

I am preparing for more changes next year. With JUH joining us, IMO, the number of talls is not sustainable. I suspect some changes could be difficult for me.

That’s why Jed Walter is holding out on re-signing he’s holding out to see where his position ends up being

SO I’M TOLD

Okay. So Petracca is a blaster of the footy

This “worked” a few years back because it helped May, Lever and co setup. Forcing the opposition into slow ball movement and teams simply couldn’t score in slow transition against Melbourne

We still play that heavy front half long entry game. Comparative to rest of the competition, which suits him. But what won’t suit him is having King lead up at the ball. He’s not the guy you want with the ball when moving it quickly from d50 to i50

His goal kicking is a problem. But it’s also where he’s getting his shots from
Expected 2.81, actual 2.4. -0.4 diff

2.81 is really low
Only Weller, Ando, Clohesy, Powell are lower

Guys with a worse negative differential
Davies, Budarick, Read and Powell

Hawks offering 2 first for Merrett. Won’t have time to do a Humphrey deal

There'll be time when there's just an hour left. Doesn't take 24 hours to strike a deal. If Hawthorn swing their offer over to us for Humphrey then we need to make a decision. The deal comes together very quickly if both parties agree.

Will be interesting to see if Humphrey's manager is still playing games today. If he is, then nothing is off the table until 7:30 tomorrow.

You think we’ll buckle at 2 first?

Sort of depends on how badly Bailey wants out, I guess. They'd know internally how broken the relationship is, so two firsts might do it when under time pressure. I don't know, but personally I think the club should hold him and get better value next year.

minus his social media tantrum, its not in the way of say Merrett who seems to be determined at every turn to leave to the point where its very messy and toxic where you struggle to see how he goes back. So I don't think its not salvagable.

Jed is surely holding off signing hoping he can start the season well and get a little extra on the contract.

If Dimma ****s this up by playing JUH ahead of him and he leaves.......

Given the current landscape of poaching contracted players - I would be keen on trying to get Cody weightman as a pre-agent next year.
Surfer, 1.7 goals a game, pure small fwd that could be the difference.
Weightman doesn't play like a small forward though. He's a leading forward that plays well above his height.
