Yeah we need a lot though. Good kicks out of defence is near the top of the list. History shows how important they are and we have very little in that sense

Those second rounders are interesting now, probably can't get much done to move up the board. Gold Coasts 28 and 29 disappearing meaning we will have back to back picks in the late 20's as well. Dalton, Barker, Rodriguez, Emmett, Pickett, Bryne, O.Taylor the ones I'd be interested in around that mark.

Maybe, just not sure it's worth it. You might get 1 talent around there worth trading up for, but it's going to be cutting it close. I'd probably prefer to hold given we'd need to trade at like pick 2.

Probably just don’t see how we beat out Melbourne who are incentivised to offer something silly given the stage of their list build and their love/need for both Robey and CDT.

For us without Carlton/GC to do a points trade with we don’t have an easy way into the top tier.

We probably jump around in the 20s depending on scouting but given our available list spots it’s probably take 2 and move 1 pick into next season

Depends if they give us 15 for 21 and 30

If not then we bid on Paterson at 5

Suns do have 5 Academy kids projected to be drafted. A couple of guns another highly rated and two project type longer development players so they might need more points if clubs are willing to bid

I think an interesting element at play would be Carlton’s picks. Given their kpf/ruck stocks I think they would be trying to trade up as long as CDT is on the board. Having lost McVee, Lever aging out and May getting the cold shoulder they would be a huge danger for the Dean bid.

If CDT slides to us do you downgrade for 9 & 11 at 5 or 6?

They might be open to any trade to get a better player ahead of pick 11.

They almost certainly will. They currently have enough to cover 2 and 5 on him and Uwland (with picks moving forward), watch them turn 15 and 18 into more points very easily with WC, North or us.

Yes.

And then the fallback is we get a top rated kid.

We're a bit too late for it to be effective unless Uwland gets bid on pick 1. Even then Annable probably gets bid on before our pick and that will allow more points for the Suns.
