Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

They traded Heath out who was one of their backup rucks.

If TDK goes down they would be stuffed.

I think the plan is to use Marshall forward more, they can't rely on King next year.

Won't work though, Marshall has only kicked 15 goals in a season I think.

I suspect they plan on playing TDK forward more but his best goal tally for a season is 9.

And replace him with whom? Unfortunately we can’t just bring in whoever we like who will def be better.

If he stays he will be cheap, and I think better than anyone else for the salary we’d have him on

They have Dodson who was the best ruck in last years draft and was dominating VFL before a couple of games at the end of the season and looked really promising. We should put an offer in front of him for 2026. He would have been the perfect replacement for Marshall in 3 years time and they would be saving 1.8m per year

Nope. They wanted to use the return from the Simpkin trade.

So, they basically wanted the Pies F1 for him.

It would have been F1(North) + F1(Pies) + 27F1(North).

I would have taken that.

That’s a shame about Forty3. I hope it was more to do with the poster no longer having a source connected to the club rather than being chased off.

Underperforming is the sole responsibility of the club... the players need to take ownership and stop looking at things to blame other than themselves.

We're not gonna sit there and sing Sweet Caroline while half the team can't be arsed chasing and applying pressure...

The basic standards were not being applied ffs... blame supporters... how weak and soft.

I blame Sweet Caroline for our half arsed efforts.

Lets replace it with Acca Dacca's 'You Shook Me All Night Long"(it might be an Eye Of The Tiger moment like in Rocky)

With regards to feral supporters, every club has them unfortunately.

Been to many Sydney games and I can guarantee they're every bit as harsh as supporters from SA/Vic clubs.

Agree with most of the Charlie assessment, but our supporters are the worst in the league - entitled bullies, sooks and cowards who keep at the negativity and abuse long after the game is over. I wouldn't hang around for it (even without being on social media) it's a shocking vibe.

Message to all who think it's ok - take a breath and a long look in the mirror.

A bit of hyperbole here. How could you possibly know we are the worst supporters in the league? You are a supporter so are exposed to our supporters for the most part. You wouldn't have noticed the tens of thousands who leave a game disappointed, but quiet. You'd notice the vocal ones.

I'd never berate our players at games, but I'd give an honest appraisal on forums. I don't blame players who give their all, but aren't good enough. I'd blame those who keep selecting them.

All I expect from our players is they give a good account of themselves and work for each other. If they don't, that's on them and it is worthy of criticism. After that, I expect our coaches to develop the errors out of a player's game, or stop selecting them until they fix the problem or the player moves on.

Supporter pressure is all we have to get something to change. We all saw the problems last year, long before the club admitted there were issues.
