Is he that naive to not even know $2m came out of his accounts?

Also, fancy lending your accountant/financial planner/manager $300k, let alone at a 50% interest rate!!
It wasn't $2m in one transaction. It was over a period of time, and the last being as recent as February this year.

Isn’t the whole point of employing someone like this so you don’t have to be active in managing your own accounts?

Yep, it seems some people are comparing it to their own monthly bank statement & not noticing $2m is missing 🙄
Yeah exactly.

If you have say $5m invested and at the end of the year your manager says well done it’s now grown to $5.5m, when in reality it’s actually $5.7 but he’s pocketed the extra .2m, but you’re happy with the figure and don’t know you’re being robbed.

This is just a made up example but this sort of embezzlement has happened to rockstars, actors and sports stars many times.

I’m no finance expert but sometimes these things are quite complicated in nature and hard to pick up unless you’re looking for them. By the time you notice a lot of damage can be done.
Similar thing happened to Leonard Cohen while he was on retreat.
His manager sold the rights to his music and embezzled all his retirement savings.
Imagine at 71 years of age having to kickstart your career all over again and do world tours.

Anyone with a teenager knows all about this.. 🥴
Or an idiot 45yo that somehow had 3 YouTube accounts at one stage and would go berserk at Google when trying to cancel 2. I tried to change to a family account but seeing as my kids didn’t have an email address it was pointless so they kept clogging up my important fishing and fails videos with stupid Roblox and Minecraft crap anyway. Then I had YouTube music somehow and all of a sudden I’m 4 subscriptions deep for just me. What an absolute shit show. All this because I’m an impatient campaigner that can’t deal with any type of ad. This is very similar to Pendles dilemma at present I’m sure

I pay 2.99 $ a month to prime to avoid ads, it's totally worth it.

It happened to the famous baseballer Shohei Ohtani last year. He let his translator manage his finances, who ended up siphoning funds from Ohtani's account to place sports bets, and pay back many of his gambling debts .

He ended up stealing close to $17 million .

Apparently has already made him $100m
That’s great for Jacob. All he has to do is send through a $10,000 deposit to handle the transfer fees and other costs and the $100m will be in his bank account within 3-5 business days. He’s basically the Warren Buffett of the AFL these days
