Banish West Coast to the WAFL if they bid on Zeke at 2. If I was having a tantrum about Humphrey, Missing out on Patterson will make me actually crash out
Relax. Both will end up with Suns.

Picks 2 and 3 - 4193 points. We got 3773.

We can go to deficit - apparently 662 points.

We will probably trade pick 15 for + 200-300 points. We could trade more picks for points. As bids come picks move up - another 200 points. We can trade in future picks.

We'll get Uwland and Patterson no matter what.

Getting the other 3 will depend on where the bids come and how much wheeling and dealing Cameron can do.

Former Essendon hard nut Ben Hobbs could find a new home at Gold Coast next season as the Suns weigh up a move for the delisted midfielder.
Hobbs, 22, was cut by the Bombers after 18 games in red and black this season and is desperate for a second chance at the top level.

The Herald Sun can reveal Gold Coast is considering Hobbs in either the draft or more likely the supplemental selection period after a training stint next month.

But there are no guarantees as the Suns are also looking at former Cat Ted Clohesy.

The tough nut played 12 games in three years at the Cats and is also on the hunt for a new opportunity.

Hobbs could help provide some midfield depth at the Suns after 65 matches in four seasons at Essendon, but is aware his AFL future remains a line ball call for 2026.

The Horsham product averaged 15 touches and 1.7 clearances a game this year playing largely forward.

The Sun lost midfielders Sam Flanders and Brayden Fiorini as well as forwards Malcolm Rosas and Ben Ainsworth in the trade period, while former Melbourne superstar Christian Petracca will deliver a huge boost to the forward half.

But the club is on the lookout for another midfielder, pending on which players it takes in the draft including prized academy talents Zeke Uwland and Dylan Patterson.

The Suns are expected to make a genuine tilt for the premiership next season and threw a career lifeline to former Bulldogs’ forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan after failing to play a game at the kennel in 2025 amid some personal issues.
