Coming around on this massively. Seems to really have the right attitude about everything. If anyone in the AFL can get the best out of someone like JUH, its Hardwick.

You can already tell from that video that he's got huge respect for Ben Long and I'd imagine its the same with Jarrod Harbrow + Dan Rioli (he boarded with Maurice Jr at Scotch). I'm pretty sure we're going to provide him with a better Indigenous support program than the Dogs did and I think that will be a big factor in us getting the best out of Jamarra.
Also, I don't know if this was at all intentional, but Jamarra did play in Oakleigh's 2019 NAB League premiership winning team alongside Noah Anderson, Matt Rowell and Ben Jepson so there's probably already some familiarity here for him. Below is the photographic proof of Marra in the middle and Noz in the far right. I think that might also be Jepson beind Jamarra.
We're slowly assembling the entire 2019 Oakleigh team haha. Will Phillips was also in that team and he's currently available as a delisted free agent.

They are doing their best to make him feel welcome. And he is obviously doing his best to show he wants to invest in the club.
Early day. But he speaks well and seams earnest. Staying that way will be on him and all the support we can create. If we pull this off it could be the biggest heist of modern football

I dont mind it.
Having him arrive with no press no attention probably safer for us and make us not look like fools if it all goes pear shaped. But id rather inject some confidence and belief into him and what we think he can become. We picked him, so i like that were publicly backing him 100%. I think it also puts a bit of pressure / responsibility on him to train well and do the right things off field.

Highly doubt anyone would be privvy to that although you'd think there would be at least one. With all the media around his use last year the 'random' testers would have had a field day!

You'd be surprised how many players are on multiple strikes. The AFL wouldn't sack someone even they get 3 or more strikes. They want to keep their (in their own minds) squeaky clean image.
as in screwed up at our club already or he has been clobbered for drug use twice now since his AFL career started?

Screwed up at our club, I was told by the same source that knew about Jake Rodgers looking at his options months before it broke in the media so I have reason to believe them
