When you see Green's last 12 months laid out like that you realize he's actually got a fair amount done in a short time as an 'interim president'. Deserves a bit of credit for making change, and definitely got more done than I initially expected.
Agreed. Had his moments but did a pretty good job. Tough spot being interim for 12 months when the club probably needed change and the CEO was on the way out and the future pres was umming and ahhing about the role. But got Smith and Guerra over the line who seem to be making good decisions for the club. Wears his heart on the sleeve which can be polarising but he's a Dees nuffy like us.

I have a inside source about trac and clary's relationships, this source is glad that trac and clary are no longer team mates, he says he hopes never to be in the same room with truc and truc's old man, the reason why is he says, that truc old man thinks his a funny man but his jokes are in terrible and he laughs at his own jokes, while everyone looks away, and also he said that truc is as dumb as a box full of nails.

Also all the stories about how clary's meeting went with [PLAYERCARD]Steven King[/PLAYERCARD] are true, in that meeting clary lost his shit, because he is a hot head and blows up without thinking, but the only reason oliver left was because he didn't want to change the way he plays, and only wants to play as a inside mid, GWS told him he didn't need to change a thing about himself, also the reason way he picked gws, is that clary is hoping that no one knows him in Sydney, and that he will be left alone by the media, the constant hounding by the media is the reason why Clary has left Victoria.

My read would be Green’s statements about Oliver and Petracca not leaving at the end of 2024 was more about backing in Goodwin who clearly wanted to retain those guys.

It was the right thing to say given the circumstances. Revisionists can talk about the missed opportunity with Oliver but it was never happening with Goodwin at the helm.

The error the Board made was of course the Goodwin extension. But once that error was made - which at the end of 2024 they wouldn’t have perceived as an error - they had to roll with it for a while.
I don't think it's a missed opportunity with Oliver because Geelong was offering us about as much as we got from GWS, also in the end family advised Oliver that going to Geelong was not going to fix his problems, and for him personally a move to a non football state would suit Oliver" s personality better, Clary a quit person and doesn't like speaking too much, and that even so Clary will give random people a selfie with him, after about 1 or 2 Clary just wants to go back to his dinner and spend time with his family, without being asked for constant selfies, and that he loses his shit if he is not left alone.

Geelong offered a future first, that is absolutely more than GWS.

I never knew Ben Ruttens old man was involved in the club
Maybe his username was meant to be Demon Tracker1000 but he spelt it wrong.

Sylvester Stallone Rambo GIF by IFC
A couple of years ago I found the original Rambo on VHS cassette and watched it for the first time. I thought it would be a big dumb action film with lots of explosions and people getting killed, turns out it's actually a study on post-traumatic stress disorder and the abandonment/resentment veterans faced returning from the Vietnam war.

10/10 would watch again.

Yeah kind of funny the reputation Rambo has as action schlock comes from all the horrible sequels to First Blood.

I only learned the other day that Stallone actually wrote that movie as well as all the other Rambos and Rocky films as well as Cliffhanger and the 1983 sequel to Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive, 'starring' John Travolta (which he also directed).

Cliffhanger is one of those movies where when I watch it today, I can still remember exactly where the ad breaks used to be when it was on free to air 20 years ago.
To this day, I can't hold on to someone without saying "You're not gonna die" in my most dramatic Stallone voice

Is Cliffhangar the movie where the racoon (or some furry critter) meets an untimely end?

Pretty sure that's Ice Age.
