Caldwell and Durham are pretty close to that as mids. + Merrett. Getting Robey and Sharp in is my dream result. Give our midfield real bite.Robey strikes me as the type of player that would be most valuable in a side with established meat and potato players around him. We don't have that.
Richmond just don’t have our motionSorry for the intrusion, but you people would know better than anyone. But how many of the top open pool prospects are Essendon supporters? I know Robey is too (but Taylor isn’t) but what’s the latest count? Heard Duursma & CDT are as well? If so can’t remember so many at the pointy end of a draft supporting one club?

Blues wont say yes to that tbh we are winning big thereWith Essendon aiming for 4 picks this draft I could see them doing something with Carlton say our 3 2nds + F2 and no Dean bid for 9 and 11
Works for both clubs
Schubert Wasn’t included in our first two selections is a massive winGettable:
- Cal still thinks Duursma and CDT are the likely selections for West Coast
- Essendon hasn't done as much work on Taylor as other clubs (other clubs think Essendon are more midfield focused)
- Essendon showing interest in getting Carlton's Pick 9 (no indication about how we would do that)
- Essendon likely to be the first team to consider Sharp and have done a lot of work on him
- Some Essendon interest in Greaves
- Essendon showed some interest in getting pick 15 from Gold Coast for picks in the 20s
- Grlj still in Richmond's range for picks 3 and 4
- Farrow in Essendon's range for 5 and 6, unlikely to get past 12
- Aidan Schubert could slip through to Essendon's third pick
- Earliest Cal can see a Sweid bid is 20. No certainty of taking him or El-Achkar
- No formal offer from Essendon for a top 2 pick. Robey, Cumming, Sharp, Farrow or Taylor as the main options for Essendon's two picks
- Unlikely that CDT gets past Richmond

No. So when picks are removed, our picks move up.With bid matching. Do the points value lock in pre draft?
Or say we get a bid at 20 for sweid does it then check points ranking. As in our pick 30 is now like 25 due to carl/gc bids?
I don’t think they can get worse though? Eg when Gold Coast match a bid on Uwland with picks in the 20’s and Essendon’s picks slide back, I don’t think in the scenario they lose value? Could be wrong on that but I thought they didn’t change at all.No. So when picks are removed, our picks move up.
i mean i get your point but they could just use 9 let 11 slide to 14 then take Dean and another first rounderIt’s picks 13 and 15 after bids.
Blues get back Harry Dean (pick 9 via points) plus their other academy player. No defecit (important for them) and F2 which should be low 20’s in a draft people actually want to be in.
I assume they’d want more but under the new points system it’s not as bad as under the old one

I was clearly misinformed but thank youDuursma - lions but no one now as his siblings were at other clubs
CDT and Cumming - hawks
Robey and Sharp - Bombers
Grlj - Blues
XT - Tigers

). So probs not enough so for sweid but enough for Huss. There was a few CDT articles linking him to us more because he is in our NGA zone and would've qualified if his grandparents moved here from Sri Lanka after his dad was born rather than a year before so you mightve got that mixed up with CDT supporting us.I was clearly misinformed but thank you
I agree, we need a mongrel back there.I actually think he’s exactly what we need. He’s a massive competitor, loud, vocal organiser down back. Great athlete. Can play on smalls on talls. I feel like the back 6 needs some swagger, extroverted personality that we don’t get from Rids, Reid, McGrath, McKay, Hayes, Prior. Would love to pair Taylor with Roberts long term and Redman Short term. I reckon Taylor would be third on my draft board behind CDT and Duursma. Just my two cents.
