Why are our 1-4yr players back a week later than other non-finalists? Seems a bit weird to me.

Hopefully the club gets their doctors to do concussion tests on all Dogs players a couple of days before this joke of a game and "fail" them, putting them out for the mandatory 2 week period so they miss playing and the possibility of getting injured before the season starts

Got sucked into a news.com.au article about the origin selections being “torn to shreds”…but it was just the standard failed firefighters rage bait article.

Reckons Naughton won’t be anywhere near good enough without Darcy next to him, lol… Last season he was coming off glandular fever when Darcy was out, but for a few years even without Darcy in the forward line, he’s fronted up.

Bolton & Barrass are no slouches either, but he’s just criticised them all basically against what the Vic’s have available. Which is obviously more top-end stars, because that’s typically always been the case.

It will be a glorified practice match anyway, origin lost its meaning years ago as the game got more professional focused.

My annual disclaimer that most players look completely ripped when photographed during training.

I have missed the standard reports on players back at training. I haven’t been to training myself but from years on here I know the drill.
All the players have come back in excellent condition.
It is amazing how much size the 1-4 year players have put on.
Our ruck and KPs look to be at beast size and won’t be pushed around in 2026.
The 2k times are amazing.
All the players look to have gained a yard in pace.
The Liberal leaning players still seem a rabble.

( just ignore the last point on here. I am hoping the ABC picks me up as a sports writer and I thought that would help)

There are a few floating around. There were more than 20 players training on the ground yesterday and a handful of others in the gym.
