In fact most of the 2nd rnd was made up of smokies early on not to mention to popular phantom draft kids in Greeves & NHH missed out.
After all it's only a number on draft night.

and we've clearly picked players this year who are going to play a certain style of footy and fit our needs - they are told the types of players we need and how they will ft into yzes plan. Players that fit this style are worth more to us than other clubs

Looks like he's got similar traits to Seth Campbell who was also very young in his draft year. If we can slot him in over someone like Steely Green for Piker who seems to have genuine goal nous that would be a huge plus

Pick 31 is a very valuable pick especially when you factor in the players in the open pool.

Can’t help but feel he could’ve been picked up much later or even as a rookie

Peucker had quite a bit of presence during the carnival matches and I thought he looked like the most dangerous small forwards in the championship.
Finishes around goal really well, can be a little goal hungry at times but has a nice strong build on him for a 17 year old kid.

It could turn out to be a very shrewd pick up.

Has a bit of Dan Butler about him.

Jonty Ralphsmith from zero hanger spoke about him a fair bit throughout the season, he was consistently around that 30-45 mark according to him. Think he said he had him and Byrne as the next best small fwds for most of the season behind Dovastan. I really like the pick looked solid in the champs.

We have identified a few players with late birthdays that have worked out well in the past with Shai & Balta
and more recently Seth & Alger. Im probably the only 1 here that also see's abit of a Jamie Elliot in this kid in his movement

Yeah, there was mention that the lad had some spring but unsure how that translated to combine testing(?)

Nothing in the highlights package really showed it either. If he can take an overhead mark as well as the other great traits that’s a big bonus
