Fred’s always given me Rory Sloane vibes but better on both sides

How much of an issue is his supposed lack of speed?

If its Sam Mitchell, Ollie Wines, Patrick Cripps, Dane Swan or Matt Priddis - sort of slow it can work out pretty well.

He isn’t one dimensional and covers it by great quickness and vision by hand, is dual sided and a very high IQ player for a contested clearance guy. The main knock on slower types of that ilk is their ability to defend but he’s a brilliant two way runner, lays tackles and has a defensive side. It’s a great fit for us and tbh great just on talent alone. Could easy thrive at AFL level as is a leader and elite preparer. I love this pick up

Dont think he is as slow as people keep saying.

Saw him first hand at his schools athletics carnival and he was in the top handful of runners. And they all looked pretty bloody quick to me.

Also finished 1st in the 400m.

Side note, his full name is Alfredo.

Nickname ‘Chicken’ - who says no?

Well fuq me - we actually picked a player that plays midfield (inside or balanced). Last time I was told we prioritised the midfield was in 2017 when we selected Hammish Brayshaw!

Clarke bashing aside, a good get.

My wife and I were in unit 324 at Rotto in the middle of the year and I had a premonition. For those too young to recall, Rottnest Villas were not numbers but named and yes, we stayed in Villa Rodriguez and I though it needed some branding
