How much of an issue is his supposed lack of speed?
Must be the burst kind of speed because he sure as hell is not slow.

That's 3 draftees in the top 10 in the 2km plus Allen who obviously didn't run at the combine, but ran sub 6:00 for his Vic club time trial. (and we also tried to draft Addinsall, who also made this list). Maybe endurance and ability to run games out is a point of focus for the draft?

2km is different to actual speed

Hes got endurance but doesnt go much faster than that when sprinting clearly

he only beat our ruckman by 1 second!;)
When did we last have a fast ruckman who was into basketball

From 2 minutes of vision, my initial reaction is a Caleb Serong styled player. Perfect pick to give a shot here.

Not quite.

If you win school boy athletic carnival 400m races, one has speed. To run a fast 400, you have to be quick over 100.

What is highlights too is he has speed endurance, in other words the ability for repeat efforts to break away and get from stoppage to stoppage.

To put it another way, You need to be quick enough to get front position and then enough stamina to keep it going for the rest of the 400m.

So he's got pace enough to get distance on someone but can keep that distance as well.

The opposite would be those that have quickness over the first 15m but ask them to do that all game for repeated efforts and if they don't have good endurance they get gassed real quick.

Maybe not, but from what I've seen he is not at all a plodder.

Clearly he isn't a flawless prospect or else he wouldn't have made it to the rookie draft, but he has endurance, good defensive ability and two-way running, and seems to be a hard worker so he seems like a reasonable candidate to make the most of his ability and possibly improve on his deficiencies.

Seems like as good a person and player to take a punt on in the rookie draft.

Well fuq me - we actually picked a player that plays midfield (inside or balanced). Last time I was told we prioritised the midfield was in 2017 when we selected Hammish Brayshaw!

Clarke bashing aside, a good get.

My wife and I were in unit 324 at Rotto in the middle of the year and I had a premonition. For those too young to recall, Rottnest Villas were not numbers but named and yes, we stayed in Villa Rodriguez and I though it needed some branding

And the 324 in the background????
Games played?
