Until the middle of last weekend I have visited on at least a weekly basis the website AustralianFootball.com listed as a resource in the opening page of this thread. This wonderful compendium listing all games' scores and attendences in the major Aussie Rules competitions since inception now appears to have been blocked. I note the uncapitalised version of this domain name seems to be the property of Australian soccer and presume they objected and took action to the Australian Rules website. Does anybody have any knowledge of what has occurred , and in particular whether this vast body of data can be accessed under a new website?
Apparently it's a DDoS.

I can still access the site, though its very slow-loading and sometimes doesnt bring the formatting with it. So I'd lean towards DDoS too.

It's working fine for me.

This site has an archive of Westside Football (effectively a WAFL version of Inside Football) from 1979 to early 1996. Obviously great for WA researchers, but I'm expecting to find some MFC related nuggets in there as well.
I've finally gone through all of these and found some great stuff. Are there any other archives of old footy newspapers/magazines hanging out on obscure corners of the internet?

Scans of a few 80s/90s magazines are going up here, and we know about the usual newspaper sources (Trove, Newspapers.com, Google News Archive) etc... but any other archives worth looking at for this sort of thing?

You can (supposedly) get access to every WA Football Budget from 1921 to 2007 through here: https://waflfootyfacts.net/budgets.php

You can get access to Age/SMH full editions from 2006- through a State Library Victoria membership (and presumably other state libraries) via the link on this page.

The Carlton Football Club history site Blueseum (www.blueseum.org) is now back and running from today 5th Jan 2026.
There is still some bedding in work to be done on the site but most of it can now be accessed.
A huge task has been undertaken in the past months with many thousands of pages having to be reformatted.
Enjoy.
