Do these SPP sign ons get a standard contract length wise or do they vary?

I think it was either reported in The West or somewhere else a few days ago that it might be a one year deal with perhaps a second year if things go well.

Do I expect him to be on the list in a few years time? No. But can he hang around for a couple years to shore up the Beagles or be a handy in when we start running low on numbers? Sure, I guess.

Harry’s was reported as 1 year and a trigger for a 2nd year.

Every ammos club I played for had that loveable meatball that somehow managed to clock up the kms around the ground and had better skills than you'd think. Plus they're great to play with, they protect you physically.

Will be a very important cog for the development of the WAFL kids.

I feel the least excited of all the SSP signings for Schoenberg if i'm honest.

Still handy WAFL depth in a good age bracket at the very very least.

I think he is a very good pick up for the Club.

He is at that age and experience when he could be on the cusp of a breakout year.
At 24 and having 65 games under his belt, I am a believer that a young player needs 60 -70 games behind them to start finding their best football in the AFL.

I also like that the kid is a hard nut that takes no prisoners, both commodities that we have been short on in the AFL side and devoid of in the Beagles.

He will make it hard for the match committee to ignore his efforts when some of our lists serial offenders, slink around and play in bursts and only apply pressure to the opposition when it suits them.

There is a bit of Paddy McGinnity about the way Harry goes about his game, so at the very least he will keep the other mids and small/medium forwards honest in their efforts.

If we are looking for forward half pressure, Schoenberg brings it in spades.

He is very much worth a punt and a second chance.


Edit: Sometimes its worth looking at who he had adead of him for midfield time at Adelaide:

Dawson, Jones, Soligo, Rankine, Peatling, Cumming, Scholl, Berry and Pedlar.

He also had these kids coming behind him Draper and Dowland.

Laird also had a few seasons in the guts before returning to half back this past year. Keays was also in the midfield a lot but now he’s playing more forward.

We are just joking around about his physique I watched his highlights he looks like a handy footballer hope he can crack the first team. I actually think he's more likely than Finlay Mcrae for what it's worth.
