BlueJet Transfer list indicates 8 players from Greenvale plus Nick Maric announced by Glenroy and looks like a player Zaine Yamak announced re-signed by Greenvale has been announced joining Thomastown. It's a tough business recruiting! God to see strong competition across the whole EDFL in all Divisions.

Zaine Yamack is collecting jumpers..

Maric & Micevski haven't played for a couple of years.
Townsend, Trifunovic & seemingly Yamak are the departing senior players, the remaining were 2s players (& Cavarra). Would they have been better off if they'd have retained some depth? sure, but when discussing the strength of sides or recruitment, few are referencing a clubs 2s.
Meanwhile, Pacco have lost more and you're talking up their chances.
Which is funny, given the comparison where there appear to be similarities between the clubs in that they bring through volume recruits on decent $ but few stick around. Meaning they need to continue pushing shit up hill when it comes to making up ground to consistently compete with Keilor etc.

Yep. I watched a replay of one of their games vs Marby and you could hear them giving it to him about this.

Deer Park will shortly announce the signing of Anthony Anastasio - VFL premiership player with both Williamstown and Port Melbourne. Lives the other side of town but obviously "loves the Deer Park jumper" and won over by the Deer Park model of developing within !!!!

Even though "RED" lives way over the other side of the West Gate Bridge, the love of the Deer Park jumper has lured him to the Lions and he must be impressed with their development focus from within their junior structure. Obviously the $10K sign ons and $1500 per game continue.

Does anyone have any specific comments about the players lodging transfers and being DECLINED? the list seems to be long

Only club in premier division that doesn’t rape the junior membership with over the top membership fees & train on a 1/4 of a ground.

It's usually a very mundane reason ie the player hasn't returned their jumper or owes money for a B&F night ticket. Sometimes it might be a club being difficult because they don't want to lose that player or don't like the club they are transferring to. No way to know for sure unless you are the player (or club president) I'd say
