Maybe it’s just me but Salah sulking about sitting on the bench whilst getting paid £400,000 a week is laughable.

Salah is yet another player in a long line of pampered superstars. Liverpool’s manager owes him nothing if he continues to be underwhelming.

Heartbreaking way to lose. Villa Park is never an easy place to go and it's not surprising we lost. They had some very good chances and we're probably deserved winners. It's another tough away game out of the way where I am sure rivals will drop points too.

And like I said, people love to shit on Arsenal at any opportunity.

We are missing our two best CBs, which are two of the best in the world. We've had three games in a week, with mounting injuries, and prior to that three tricky fixtures which we took 7 points from (and I think any team would have been happy with that).

We can't win every game, we'll drop more points. We still have a two point buffer. We need to focus on Wolves now.

Villa’s last home premier league loss was August 2024, to Arsenal.

Since then they’ve gone 27 PL matches at home without losing. That’s a hell of a home record. Fortress.

I mean, isn’t it good that he is raring to go despite the fact he could sit on the pine and rack up 400k a week?

not to overreact, but could Villa actually win the comp?
They’ve been so so good since the first month. Don’t think any team would be favourite against them except probably City / Arsenal / Chelsea at home.

He's not raring to go, he was a defensive liability all season and you could take that when Liverpool as a team were defending better and he was on a god like run of goal and assists form. Now he's barely scoring or assisting and still a liability.

If he had handled it like an adult instead of an entitled baby, worked a little harder he'd be back in no time. Instead he takes 1 week of not getting picked to throw a bomb into the club

They don't have the depth IMO.

Yeah i think they can, they will have to prioritise the league though with their skinnier squad.

Would have been interesting to see how Emery could have gone with Arsenal with a bit more patience and the financial backing Arteta has had.

Really reflects poorly on Salah I feel. Those comments had to be pre meditated. To voluntarily go into the mix zone says it all really. So often the journalists wait there hoping to get a quick comment from players walking past, but they decline and just head out of the stadium to their team busses etc. But for Salah to actually make his way into the eye of the storm, he knew what he was doing.

So did Liverpool only extend his contract so they could get a transfer fee?

If that's the case and they planned on phasing him out this season anyway without his knowledge you can understand his frustration.
Salahs on over 400k a week and started every game to start the season and has only recently lost his place with the team in their worst form in half a century. People were calling for this a month ago and slot stuck by him.
This narrative is a load of bs

Fair enough dude.

I am sure Salah was one of the Liverpool players who said there is more to life than football when his teammate died. And here we are six months later and he’s having a massive whinge because the manager has put him on the bench. The worlds tiniest violin for the man who has everything.

Sorry but that is such a cheap shot to use someone’s genuine grief against them like that.

This is someone who was openly crying on the pitch after the first game of the season and his been more open about his grief than any other player in the dressing room.

Not really, he's pointing out how Salah playing the victim card so soon after what happened is actually in pretty poor taste and he doesn't really deserve sympathy for it rn. Of all people he should really understand the context of being dropped for 3 games not being worthy of what he did
