I'd save him for the GF. Don't want to waste his time playing him in unimportant regular season matches while he has things like world peace to work on. Could probably replace Bevo as coach if he has the time though
Absolutely. I can see your point. Why would we be paying Bevo, Bains and Watson Wheeler when Sellwood could be doing all of this. Just give him the Sellwoods already….there are 3, one for the GF, One for the best and fairest and one for most goals

Don't see the need for 3 talls in defence when none of them are particularly good. Would rather play Williams there because he's better with the ball than any other medium defender we have.

Think Gallagher could be a better pressure forward than Vandermeer or McNeil. Don't see the need for 3 tall forwards either, need more speed and pressure, concede way too many end to end goals. Think 2 talls, 3 smalls and an extra mid is the best setup

Croft or Khamis to play wherever needed
Like this side. I agree, only need two tall defenders and two tall forwards "on ground". Gallagher will surprise a few. Bevo loves him, extremely hard worker, strongest at the club for his size. Perfectly player for the modern-day pressure forward, injuries killed him last year.

Brisbane and Geelong only play two talls at either end, works okay for them. The way the game is played talls are a liability when the ball is not in the air.

Would like to see Gallagher become that Beau McCreery type for us

Lions usually play two rucks though, so a completely different set up. Geelong also have a great small brigade around Cameron and Neale, which although is something we appear to be addressing is far from a level I'd like it to be.
I'm a fan of 2 talls and a medium or two in defence aslong as they can kick, but that's still a requirement for me if we went 3 tall back there. The days of being able to carry a keyback with poor disposal are over.
I am a very strong advocate for three tall forwards for multiple reasons, largely due to the fact when we play two we never have both forward at once and because instead of playing small forwards with forward craft and pressure we jam in another midfielder or two.
I'm all for trialling Gags as a small forward (or half back like when he was an overager) I think he'd be more suited to either of those roles then the wing, inside or run with roles he got given previously. He would need to play pre-season and ideally a few VFL games there first though.

My round 1 team currently sits like this

FB. Budarick JOD Williams
HB. Dale Lobb Bramble
C. Davidson Libba Freijah
HF. Dolan Naughton Sanders
FF. West Darcy Croft
R. English Bont Richards
INT. Treloar MKennedy Harmes Jones
With the 23rd man one of Jaques, Hynes, Cleary, Sellwood or Carmichael.

Surprised Davidson is in so many teams. Think he was found out a bit as the season progressed

Another preseason will do him the world of good. He came from spending several years moving around between local leagues.
I don't know. If the things he needs to improve could be improved we'd probably still have Josh Schache running around for us

Reckon he shirks a few contests and isn't damaging enough to be as uncontested as he is
Uh Huh Whatever GIF by Zypto

Less than 50 games.

I disagree, don't think he was found out all. Maybe got a bit tired / sore as the weeks went on but you expect that from a first year playing that many games.

His running remained really good, was damaging when he went forward and gathered enough of the footy. Very excited to see his 2nd year.
