Lobb not suited to the full back line where he can be beaten one on one.
At CHB he can intercept flying for marks.

The biggest unknown it seems is whether or not we’ll play 3 KPD’s. And will that change depending on opponent.
Don’t think we’ll know the answer until the season starts.

I’d also imagine it will come down to the form & health of Buss early as well.

I’d love us to play two mediums next to O’Donnell and Lobb, but we don’t really have any that intercept or defend tall. Huge hole on our list that drafting Weddle and Curtin would have filled.

I think alot of this also depends on how we operate through the ruck.

Walker has the potential to be that kind of player but perhaps not for next season.

What’s your thoughts on that?
I think alot will depend on opposition. In previous Beveridge years we've worried solely about our own team and not what oppo do but I'm lead to believe that wont be the case this year, with assistants putting more time into opposition strategy.
So I think we may see the inclusion of a second ruck as the fifth on the bench, 2-3 talls forward/defence (rucking a Croft or Lobb), a more defensive wing set up or even the elusive run with role through the midfield/half forward slot.

The same was said about Bailey Dale early on too.
He played less than 50 games early on? No way lol

But yeah. I think you're allowed to be a bit soft and shirk some contests when you're as damaging with the ball as Dale. I'm not sure Davidson can be

B: Budarick, Lobb, Geary
HB: Dale, Egan, Freijah
C: Williams, Richards, English
HF: Kennedy, Naughton, Treloar
F: West, Darcy, A Jones
R: Lade, Bont, Libba
INT: Dolan, Croft, Reid, Davidson, Hynes
Will Lade just eat the opposing ruckmen?

Finally get Luke Power to the club and can't even find a spot for him in the 23?!

No worries.

Play Sellwood out of the goal square so he can take the oppositions best defender. This will bring Darcy to get the lesser defender which I think Darce can exploit

Disclaimer - everything I post about Sellwood is genuine. Think he has the mongrel our backline needs. Has abit of Maynard about him. Obviously if he could get to that level, that would be huge but has those similar traits, hopefully translates to AFL. Should debut early if he stays healthy, has great intensity at training from all reports.
