Yep, and anyone who has not been in that position and says "I definitely would have done that" are liars. No one knows until they are in that position if they would do that or not, though I am fairly certain I would not, simply because I think I would freeze up in such a situation.

I have no problem with immgration, but I hate it when people bring their bigoted views with them.
Only time I have ever seen a mass brawl/fight as a kid was in a random soccer game between a club that was mostly Croatian and the other club was Serbian. I was too young to know why they were fighting but now I am older and know it annoys me even more as they brought their own racial hatred of each other to Australia.

Terrible and inexcusable attack but I just saw vision of the Israeli President attacking Albanese and our government for failing to stop the huge amount of anti semitism that apparently exists in Australia. Simply because the government believes there eventually should be a Palestinian state. Disgraceful and divisive political response. Watch the Murdoch press in particular go to town

One of the shooters has been named as Narveed Akram. While not from the Middle East region, clearly this is a terror related incident based on religion.
I don't know enough to even guess what country or region the name Narveed Akram might be from.
Just looked it up on ChatGPT and it says it would most likely be a name from Pakistan, India or Bangladesh.

Just horrific. I know Bondi Beach so well and love it so much. Lived in the Eastern Suburbs for years. So hard to imagine it as the scene of a cold blooded massacre.
That is the scary thing for me. This is the first time there has ever been a mass shooting in a place I know. Every other mass shooting I have ever heard of has happened in a location I have never been to. Knowing the area somehow makes it feel so much more real.

I sometimes wonder if Australia should prioritise women with immigration as women, no matter the religion or culture are far less likely to commit violent acts.
