The comment section has some interesting stuff in it, apart from those that are desperate for it to be foul play. As he says, the data available is totally consistent with someone being lost.

When I travel remote and I'm using Google Maps, without my phone plugged in to charge constantly, it drains the battery real fast and at less than 30%, is almost useless because it goes in to power saving mode. You can turn power saving mode off but your battery's going to die if you continue to use all the bells and whistles including GPS on the app.

She may have had power saving mode on and realised continuing to use GPS (location) is going to kill her phone real fast to where she's got nothing, so she's turned it off. That might explain why the tower pings continued.

Then something's happened to her. An accident in the circumstances wouldn't be impossible.

That accident was probably nothing more than her being unable to find her way out.

The bush is impenetrable in many places, the weather can change in the blink of an eye, it can get impossibly cold....and then there's devils.

I'm still unsure why she felt the need to take a shortcut and head up the hill. You can see the 'water race' that she was following at the point where she left the track, so must have known she had been heading in the right direction. Every other decision was logical and sound, except this one fatal error.

Chasing better mobile signal perhaps?

They found her Samsung phone; friends, a PI and TasPol located it in a new search.

I've been watching Rob Parson's videos of his searches for Celine, and will be interested to hear and understand how the phone's location correlates to the data and theories about her movements.

Crazy stuff, really hoping this leads to finding Celine

A garbage bag, possibly used as a makeshift poncho, and an empty water bottle - same brand as what is sold at her place of employment, found in a sheltered spot.

There have also been cases of suicide - I remember years ago, a Melbourne woman dropped her kids off at school then drove a couple of hours out into the country and disappeared. Her car was found at a scenic lookout but she was never found.

A lady said to me on one of my walks .
Sometimes people want to go missing.
Not saying this is the case .But noone knows .

He normally does old gold rush vids etc.
Interesting were he goes after this he already got a success YT channel.

I think his search for Celine became a personal mission somewhere along the way.

Maybe, I'm not sure.

I watched ABC news on the tas east coast fires.
And i noticed someone else who does YT vids hes a inspector of some kind.

I'm waiting for Rob Parsons next video to come out about their search party earlier this month. Obviously they have found her phone but i'm guessing they still haven't found traces of her.

Interesting in his last video where he mentioned about the 3 psycics reaching out to him from different parts of the world, all suggesting she fell into a crevice and hit her head. It was either the head injury or hypothermia that took her. No suggestion of foul play involved.

Every news source etc want a scoop.in this case.
Pretty sad for the family not knowing.

Pretty alarming it's takes something sad to happen for Tas parks to put up signs on this track.
Tas parks gov get heaps of money from tourism to use.

They found her phone, then approximately 300m away a water bottle and a garbage bag possibly made into a poncho, near a potential shelter.

I'll be curious to know where the bottle etc was found relative to the phone, if it's proven to be hers.

That might reveal a general direction of travel.

If I remember correctly it was pretty cold at the time of her disappearance so you wouldn't expect she'd have travelled that far before succumbing.

It was cold and probably late in the day and not a great deal of sunlight.
Maybe she went for walk in the deeper rain forest after she went down the stairs to the falls. The rain forest there is quiet thick and lots of Moss on the trees.

I can imagine her having a bottle of water on her but i'm not sure about her making the concious decision to carry a garbage bag that could be used as a poncho. It didn't sound like she was overly experienced in survival skills and knowledge.

If she had the foresight with the garbage bag and had potentially made a shelter then i can't understand why she wouldn't have something on her to make fire and if she did, then she should have stood a reasonable chance to make it through the night.

It will be interesting to see how weathered the bottle is.

Additionally, more than one psycic has said that she had fallen into a chasm and hit her head. I think this is more plausible as i think she would have wanted to make it out of there rather than spend the night.

I did this walk in October its only 2.5 return walk.Theres signs everywhere id imagine they were put up after she went missing.
Every news network etc posting about it since they found her phone.
It’s almost unbelievable that she got lost really. How certain are they that she drove there under own steam. No body, but items and a vehicle. How do we know she drove the vehicle to that location.

Could there be someone else involved and her body is not at that location?

I'm not sure the garbage bag was a 'conscious decision '.

Assuming it's hers, I'm thinking she was using it to carry or hold something, or maybe she was environmentally aware and carried it to collect any rubbish she generated?

Either way, I'm thinking she had it on her and created a poncho with it as a measure of desperation.

Of course it's yet to be determined whether or not her DNA is on it, but the bottle being the same as sold in her workplace gives some weight to the theory.

Unbelievable in that it was a short hike, but not hard to believe if / when someone becomes disoriented in the Tasmanian bush.

It's virtually impenetrable in areas through the horizontal, and places where it's so thick you just can't push through.

Then it can get so cold, so suddenly and unexpectedly. Panic sets in, disorientation sets in, and the worst happens.

If you watch Rob Parson's videos you'll see Celine did well for a person that had become lost. She plotted her points, she travelled in the right direction etc......until she dropped her phone.

From that moment on she was doomed.

She became hopelessly lost and succumbed to the elements imo, maybe a fall as her physical condition deteriorated, whilst her phone lay in the undergrowth for another 2+ days, silently pinging the last of its battery life away.

A sad outcome to what should've been an enjoyable, short hike.
