Just stumbled along The Americans. Very good so far.

The Americans

Finished, very good TV show and recommend anyone to watch. A tier down from the GOATs like BB or TD1.

Last episode wrapped up the story nicely but was hoping for more despair.

Finished my Seinfeld series re-watch. Should have finished it weeks ago but I slacked off a bit part way through November. I intended to start Curb Your Enthusiasm straight away, but I might hold off and start it after Christmas.

ER S9-10

9 was the AbbyCarter relationship, Romano's arm troubles, Luka's promiscuity and reverse chronology xmas ep. Bit of a dip from the preceding eight seasons but still really good. 10 sees Parminder Nagra, Linda Cardellini and Scott Grimes enter the fray, some bits in the Congo, Romano-seeking Helicopter, a lot of med student rotations, a lot of guest stars like Thandiwe Newton, Bob Newhart, Julianne Nicholson, Rob McElhenney, Zac Efron, JK Simmons, Jessica Chastain, etc. Feel like most of the cast had a decent episode or two, even desk clerk Frank (another heart attack like in Article 99).

Noah Wyle’s performance across the series run deserves more recognition. Even after eight seasons he is still evolving the part and exploring new areas for John Carter, never plateaus and goes stale. He has taken us on a captivating ride that creeps up on you with each passing season.

Looks like the bulk of ER might be leaving iView in a fortnight, might try and fit in one more season (the first one when Lost entered that same timeslot).

Just finished S1 of The Americans. Top notch. Even though I do ask myself who's minding the kids? And how do they find time to do what they do in a short space of it. I do like the Claudia character - reminds of Cancerman from the X-Files.

Not a big fan of TV shows, especially ones that have have over 476 seasons, but feel I am missing out not watching The Sopranos or The Wire.

Well, not to put too fine a point on it...you are.

Yaaas! Weirdly shown here at midnight and not something I'd usually go for, but the characters are terrific and it took a while getting used to the potty mouth lingo they used. Shame it only had 2 seasons.

Also watched a bit of Rescue Me, but went off it for some reason.

Finished my Seinfeld series re-watch. Should have finished it weeks ago but I slacked off a bit part way through November. I intended to start Curb Your Enthusiasm straight away, but I might hold off and start it after Christmas.

Curb is next level funny compared to Seinfeld

Season 1 is a bit patchy but get through it because the following seasons have some of the funniest storyline’s and situations that you need to see to believe. It more than bedrocks the fact that Larry is the genius behind Seinfeld.

Watching it weekly when it was on was even more frustrating because it was slow moving and in an era where other contemporary shows were a bit more well paced.

Despite this keep with it, it does progress and the finale is one of the best

I binged it through Victoria’s Lockdowns and have it on a pedestal as it gave me something to laugh out loud about in shit times

Oh I know all about CYE, I just haven't done a full marathon for a while. I normally jump from related series back to back eg: Breaking Bad - straight to Better Call Saul, Cheers to Frasier etc). It'll be the official first time I'll have incorporated the final season in a full series marathon.
