I love that we have two of the best three contenders for the year competition wide. And Cynthia had a respectable effort herself. And is there another one I'm forgetting?

I'm impressed the women are on this trip right at the beginning of their off-season where they should be living it up on Mykonos or something. More understandable with the guys who are just coming into pre-season after 10 weeks off.

3rd photo Chloe, is that Lara , Ash and Brodie. Nice to see Lara involved at such a young age if thats her

Well spotted! I don't know that I would have recognised her, but I think you're right that that's Lara. It's not surprising: her leadership is one of the qualities that led us to pick her. She captained the Oakleigh Chargers to a premiership when she was in her draft year.

As a follow up to the article about them being from the same club

Both from Singleton. Molly and Alex.

i noticed another paywalled article from the Newcastle Herald that indicated having the 2 girls drafted being the best thing that's happened since the Singleton wedding bus crash that had half its victims being from this same club the drafted girls are from. One of the victim's being the woman's coach.

A bitter sweet day for the Afl club from Singleton and i guess a poignant accompaniement to the Swans visit to Bondi.

Both providing solace and one of them belated joy two years on from the bus crash.

Both wonderful examples of the fabric of community.
