Signage now up on building at Shark Park
Popped into GGP yesterday....surface looks to be more than OK......signage up as you say mate......busy at the Cafe with lots of folk enjoying the facilities.....pity the dog park takes up some prime viewing, real estate wise, on the outer wing.....the main building/offices look impressive.....just wish it had more seating though....and coverage as well.....not much protection for those in the outer......but hey it is what it is I guess, and good to have a footy oval to call home.

Finally found out why my friend there usually leaves at half time. Cold wind.
I guess the designer didn't know football is a winter game.

It’s always felt to have a micro-climate down there in the past. Whether that could be backed by science, well that’s another thing! My mind always go to freezing, windy games in the old configuration, made worse by many losing years and where weather conditions would often be unique to Moss Street, differing to that experienced by the other grounds at the very same time.

Shark Park feels like it is up compared to the surroundings especially to the south west where there is a dip and out in the middle is very exposed.
Now that the oval is on an angle the ball favours the north east corner even on a windless day.

I hear a few new players were at training today, anyone have any details?
I believe ex Freo/Cl player Eric Benning has been training with EF pre Xmas.....there are a number of new names on EF playing list - who were expected to arrive in the new year, a mixture of tall and medium defenders and forwards from differing state leagues around Aust - NT, Qld, NSW and SA - looks like Woewodin has been casting the net wide and far.

It will be interesting to see how they fare in the WAFL, and hopefully some of those talented ex colts, can make the jump from colts to senior footy.....never and easy task....Grylls, Nomlatyu, Sander, Ramsay, Jakovich, Cox, Warner etc... plus continued development from Carrello and McManus.

Yes we have a particular interest in the NTFL having spent a few years up there. Those conditions are atrocious, hot rain! Leggett was mentioned as one of the top 10 players of the season as well as Parfitt.
