A thread for SC relevant training notes.

Some of the team boards have excellent threads about preseason, some don't.

The best is bigman on the Adelaide board - https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/bigman’s-training-reports.1375180/

Noticed he has been mentioning Curtin playing a lot of inside mid, something to keep an eye on.
bigman is on a cricket bender at the moment but expect a report soon and will post with his compliments.
Everyone watching Curtin and has been mid only in all match sim but not shooting the lights out .

McKenzie looking the best he has since being drafted. Mcdonald spending time in the mids. But at their prices, could be hard to justify, even without Worpel there.
Very settled team going into 2026, so not a lot of positional changes, and a healthy list at this stage, so not much room for rookies.
This is pretty well reflected in the RMT thread, with very little brown and gold in people's drafts, and rightly so ATM.

Any idea how Will Day is tracking? Still injured, in the rehab group, training the house down etc, etc.??

Seems to have had his own schedule at times. Missed a session or two and skipped drills at times. Lots of running and looks very fit. You'd want to see full involvement after Christmas I'd say.

Reckon it will probably only take a couple of promising training reports and him being selected for the preseason games for me to get sucked into Will Day

Not a huge report but I found some of it interesting....

From one of our track watchers on Facebook and posted on the Suns thread.

Some feedback from the club after our pre-season so far..
"The 2025 season saw us celebrate a lot of highs as a Club but as we finish the first half of the 2026 season; I just wanted to recap some recent highlights;
Jake Rogers and Leo Lombard have dominated the first half of pre-season and prove to be an exciting small forward duo heading into 2026.
Jamarra Ugle-Hagen ran his best (PB) 2km time trial since being drafted into the AFL system in 2021. He has exceeded the expectations of our high performance and coaching staff with his diligence, prep and commitment to his training.
Ethan Reid has been training on the wing – with a talented forward line comprising of Reid, King, Ugle-Hagen, Walter and Long – Ethan’s endurance provides additional flexibility in positional rotations, in addition to the new ruck interpretations.
Bailey Humphrey will play more mid-field in 2026 as part of his career progression and with Flanders departure, opens more opportunity for him through this line.
Charlie Ballard has been progressing well with his rehab training and will go close to being available for selection from Opening Round.
Avery Thomas has shown great potential with his ability to make explosive plays across the back line and is an exciting prospect for the Club. He plays like a combination of both Bob and Wil Powell which is exciting.
