Are we training this hard? They look light years ahead, God Curnow would of been handy for us
I believe we have a great long term prospect in Whitlock.
Honestly if I had the pick now I’d rather have Whitlock every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Although he doesn’t cut the same imposing figure that Curnow does, Georgiades is a similar height and is building a career that may come close to Curnow’s heights. Really love the way he plays.

Comparing them at the same age, Georgie not only has Charlie covered but does better in a number of metrics.

To think, it is feasible that we will add Cochrane and Pilot to Georgiades, Whitlock and Lukosius brings a big smile to my face.

And you look at what Curnow cost Sydney at 29yo next Feb with a significant injury history, Sydney gave the Blues pick 11, first-round draft picks in 2026 and 2027, and experienced forward Will Hayward and the Swans received Curnow, picks 31 and 42, plus a 2027 second-round draft selection in return.

You could basically start kissing those incoming players goodbye. And maybe one of the listed players you mentioned.

Bergs rocked up to preseason 2 weeks ahead of time & looked in fantastic shape. One feels whatever Carr said to him in his exit interview, he has enthusiastically taken it onboard & is about to go bang.

I remember Bergman kicking some first quarter goals in a game going back a bit.
He has all the attributes to become a very good AFL player the only thing I believe it’s keeping him back is his kicking ,if he can improve that it would be a massive help for the side going forward.

He really hasn’t played that many midfield minutes too, so with another 10 or so games, he might have a bit more perceived space and time as he gets up to speed.

This may help his kicking/decision making. Here’s hoping anyway. I think often he goes the long option with his powerful kick, but sometimes the better option is a short one and an easier kick.

I suspect most of Bergman's shots on goal are on the run from outside 50 after having run 100m from the back line.

Set shots leading out from the forward line might work for him. He had a reputation for kicking crucial goals in his u18 year.

Hopefully after 10 games he will kick to the right end.

From what i remember, his set shot kicking when he's been up forward has been pretty good.

If he's going forward he needs a lot of time with a pure forwards coach, one on one. Seems like a sponge so would really benefit from it. I wouldn't trust him to convert given what I've seen of his kicking so far.

Yep n ultimately he's judged on delivery like a golfer, hitting fairways n nailing putts

Miles looks the business in full flight it's when he has to think that bothers me

and it's a big bother. Grim but true so far. Lowering the eyes might be his tonic.

Can he do 'it' ?

The mind has to match the body but if he can ... watch out everybody

Our mids are interesting, got the 'all stars" but what about the also rans that might hold the key

Brodie, or J Lai and others? This is where I expect our coaches to stamp their imprimatur

Hoping to watch organised link up footy, creating a spare at H/F and walking in 20m goals this year.

A really well functioning Fwd set up thanks Darren and Stewie give us a Brions midfield 'rundown'

If the players buy in early, '26 might be more than interesting.

My guess is Bergman and JHF rotate between mid and forward. And I think Josh Lai will feature a fair bit across half back. Very similar traits to Bergman down back. Really good overhead and has the speed/dash to get out of defensive 50

Winning JHF a Brownlow in the process because the umpires think he had 45 possessions and kicked 4 goals every game.
