I can't see Lynch playing every game wether it's due to injury or suspension. The future will be Faull and Armstrong in the forward line and I think we will see a fair bit of that duo in the fwd line this coming season.
I see Lynch and jonty interchanging. Jonty will wander into chf when harry rolls up the ground. Before if lucky we had only 2 forwards who could contest which made it too easy for the man behind the ball to pick off the next kick. Honestly think the 3rd changes this as a stay at home forward makes them stretch more. And if they play in front of the forward a few heavy knees in the back will remind the back men there is no free lunch.

I have seen all of both players games and have not seen a great talent difference as yet. I’d reserve that comment that Gibcus has massive talent advantage over Gray, until there has been a lot more evidence to substantiate this.

What a load of 🐎 💩..... Gibcus is an absolute gun who looked 100% like he belonged in his debut season (when we actually finished 7th) Gray was 3 years older before he was gifted his 1st game and straight out. A part from a 1 handed mark and a couple of spoils I cant recall a single thing he's done at Punt Rd. I can only imagine Blights manager wanted way more $$$'s and Gray would take minimum chips as the only justification Gray got extended. Grays depth insurance nothing more. Wouldn't be surprised to see all of Lefau, Fawcett and even Simms trialled down back before Gray gets a game in the ones.

If Gibcus is over his injury woes then we're laughing as he'll be an AA quality defender who can actually take on your Darcy/ King types thanks to his prodigious leap.

Gray looked like a way better prospect than Blight. I think youre wrong about him. You'll pay for this

I feel like the same for Armstrong over Fawcett.

Apparently Fawcett not putting a foot wrong as a key fwd but Armstrong massive tank, gets up the ground and plays CHF unlike anyone else on our list.

Unless there are injuries to one of Lynch ot Faull I can't see Fawcett getting a game in the regular season.
Outstanding VFL form would , he hasn’t played at that level at VFL yet

I think that Gibcus is likely to be the better player but it’s wishful thinking. There is nothing statistically that shows Gibcus is better than Gray. When I compared their stats it minutely favours Gray but the amount of ground time for each player has been small, so I reserve my opinion regarding them both. You point out that Gray has done stuff all but Gibcus has done sweet FA also. Optimism is what you’re using, nothing more.

Balta wing fixes everything
Why can't use both the Love emoji and Laugh emoji?

Balta roaming free would be an interesting experiment and could be brilliant if our other KPDs come on and stay fit.

Difference is for mine that Gibcus showed he could hold his own when he was undersized and first year player, where grey looked much the same with the benefit of a mature body

Talent wise I have Gibcus ahead and if he gets a consistent run he will be the much better prospect

Break glass in case of emergency utility role. Makes it easier to play both Gib and Gray is the main thing

Let him run around like a headless chook getting to as many contests as possible as a big defensive body if nothing else. Also fills that height void with k-mac gone for the long down the line kicks. Makes sense just for that

Job description when he gets the footy becomes a lot simpler too. Run and kick it to lynch. Can only be a good thing

Love this guy

Look at his mouth just taking in all our young guns

Liked it apart from not having Miller in the starting 23. Miller is easily our best key defender. He then said that Balta is better with ball in hand than Miller.

When Miller has the ball you know it's going straight to a teammate.

When Balta has the ball nobody knows where it will end up. Including Noah.

I think he's gone a bit too heavy on the kids getting starting positions overall, when that's just not going to be the case.
Clearly given his focus is on draft talent, I can see why he looks at it that way, but I think he's getting a bit ahead of himself

yeah miller's kicking is great, does miss sometimes which can look bad because he's our deepest defender, but can pinpoint non-loopy kicks well over 40m during switches and fast transitions

whereas balta can launch the ball, just trying to clear the zone and go to a contest which is fine, but not as good for us the last couple of years where we lacked any talls that can make a good contest with no riewoldt and rarely lynch (who is always playing with 1000 injuries and also cops multiple defenders hanging off him when he does play), hopefully that changes in the near future with our new group of talls coming through. balta is also a brain fart merchant though

would be beneficial to us for both of them to hold down FB&CHB for the next 5+ years but can see balta being thrown around positionally as well and hopefully it's because gray matches or usurps him (or just gray/gibcus for 3rd tall)
