Whatever could go wrong? Some visas were approved within just an hour. I can see why Albo does not want a Royal Commission. Who could be able to verify if any of these people posed any security risks at that time?

Seriously, and what has that got to do with Bondi. The perpetrator came here in 1998.

And anything that Sharri has to say, I’d be digging further to actually get to the truth.

Has it occurred that all the checks had been done prior to October 7th? She does tend to bend the truth like most in the media to suit their narrative, whether it be left or right.

You do understand that any Royal Commission terms of reference is determined by the government of the day. If they don’t want immigration as part of it, it won’t be.

And as I have pointed out numerous times, most of our immigrants come from India, China, UK, Philippines and Nepal. The first Middle East country at number 10 was Iran.

By May 2028 election I reckon this whole issue will be forgotten. This issue doesn’t impact most people on a day today day basis. We all thought The Voice was going to be terminal for the government supposedly, it wasn’t obviously no matter how much the Opposition tried.

Most people are concerned with daily issues like cost of living etc.

Everyone keeps demanding a Royal Commission but as you say it will take 2-3 years and have a stack of recommendations which in all likelihood will never see the light of day.

Contrary to what those in the right think, this has zero to do with immigration. The rise in antisemitism is due to what happened on October 7th and what has occurred since then. Anyone not prepared to think that wasn’t a factor is a fool.
So anyone that disagrees with Labor's number one ticket holder Kirky is a fool, yeah OK.
Strange isn't it that in all polls taken the majority of Australians polled believe a full on Royal Commission is needed into what happened at Bondi Beach and only a fool would think that anti-Semitism didn't play a big part in that whole sorry blot on Australia's history.
Factor or no factor anti-Semitism has taken a crippling hold in Australia and immigration is a factor in that whether you like it or not. Only a fool uses the R word when immigration/open borders has become such a cultural problem worldwide.

Very worrying disclosure....wtf were NSW Police thinking.

Minns confirms 'contact' with police ahead of Bondi attack

Story by 9News Staff
• 8h •

New South Wales Premier Chris Minns has confirmed that a Jewish community group had been "in contact" with police ahead of the devastating Bondi Beach terror attack, after it was revealed extra officers had been sought for the Hanukkah event that became a terrorist target.

Nine newspapers reported that the volunteer-led organisation, Community Security Group (CSG), deemed the event high risk and asked for multiple officers to be stationed there for its duration.
A source shared that instead, "junior officers roaming Bondi Beach on a broad patrol had been instructed to monitor the event intermittently".

Today, Minns said there had been contact between police and the group, while not disclosing the specifics.

"Clearly form media reports and my own inquiries, CSG was in contact with NSW police," he said.

And he said the police that were at the event were "clearly not enough".

Minns said there needed to be a "root and branch change" to the state's security protocols, even suggesting that CSG members could be "armed" by the state.

NSW Police declined a request for comment as the terror attack is "subject to a critical incident investigation; a criminal investigation; and a coronial inquest".

Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon has said that police base their response on the "threat that exists at the time"
Shortly after the December 14 attack, the NSW government was forced to defend the actions of the officers who responded and were on scene.

Premier Chris Minns on December 16 said, "The NSW Police acted with bravery and integrity. They didn't take a backward step".

Police increased their security at Cronulla Beach yesterday, after a social media post emerged in the wake of the attack calling for a "bashing day" 20 years on from the site of the race-fuelled riots.

Police, with help from the riot squad, mounted unit and water police, patrolled the beach.
Interesting that they knew there was a real threat to the event and that they themselves deemed it as a high risk.. enough that they requested extra police presence.

Yet they just continued on with it..
Why wouldn't you make a change to the venue location at the very least?

I wonder if this CSG group sent out a blanket message to all the attendees letting them know how high the risk was?.. If they did and it was me and my family I would’ve been saying to the wife and kids “sorry, no Hannukah down at Bondi for us this year, lets celebrate it somewhere else”

Now, before the reactionary hard righties in here go into another one of their snowflaky meltdowns they are so famous for and start bleating “I’m blaming the festival goers for being attacked”…
They, and others here, need to ask themselves one question..

Would anyone here in their right minds put their family at such high risk if you had been fully informed by your communities own security team, this CSG, of the potential threat?

And on the other side of the coin…
If the families/attendees weren't aware because, whilst CSG did know there were credible threats and had “deemed it high risk”, they didn't pass this pretty damn important information on to the attendees… then that would be a massive failing on the CSG’s behalf..

And as for allowing this CSG organisation being allowed by the
Minns government to be armed?..

Ahhh, no fxxkn thanks Minns you absolute twit!.. I couldn't think of a more ridiculous idea than this.
The last thing this country needs is every religious group being allowed to be armed whilst out in the public. And it will be every group because if you allow one, you will have to allow them all.

What happens when one of these armed volunteers deems something is a threat when it really isn't, gets scared, and shoots someone innocent?

Yeah it's all the Jewish people's fault it happened, that's some real brain dead logic there Clam Man.

Putting aside that this is just more Skynews Sharri Markson clickbait for the gullible dumbfxxks in our society..

Is it really only a few thousand of Palestinian’s that have been granted visa’s?

Out of the hundreds of thousands of immigrants that have come in over the past decade or so?

Would've thought it would be more than just a few thousand.. maybe not many Palestinians want to migrate here?

And i’ll have a thousand dollars on these Palestinians going through the exact same visa application process as every single other person that applies for one.

And why would any of this “lets look at the Palestinians that have been let in” racist nonsense be looked at by any Royal Commission into the Bondi Shooting?

The Bondi shooters were one Indian born man who immigrated here in the 90’s and his son who was born here..

Royal Commissions deal simply with the facts.. not the racist nonsense of those with anti-immigration agenda’s.

Maybe the RC could look into the migrants from India?.. you know, the country that one of the shooters came from.

But the only logical conclusion they could come to in asking this would be.. there’s been 1 bad egg amongst 100’s of thousands of very successful Indian migrants to this country over the past 3 decades.

You need to stop watching Skynews Eagle.. it’s rotting your brain.

Antisemitism has since a significant rise globally the last two years, now why would that possibly be?

Yes, most of Australia says a Royal Commission but let us ask them, if it takes 2-3 years for the outcome of it, would you want one? And it would take 2 years to report.

I never said antisemitism wasn’t an issue in Bondi, given it was a Jewish celebration, of course it was a factor. You don’t need to be Einstein to work that out.

Well let us have a Royal Commission, limit the terms of reference as the government can (and I’ll guarantee the government won’t be taking any advice from the Coalition) and then wait 2-3 years for the report and then wait another year or two to implement the recommendations (or even totally disregard them).

I’ll suggest come middle of next year, this will be off everyone’s radar. The NSW Royal Commission would have reported, the Federal Government review reported. And Sussan Ley will be out of the Opposition Leaders role.

Better to be a snowflake than a denialist Clam Man.
So.. basically..

If you were part of a group, any group at all, and you were told by people you trust, people with credible information, that an event you and your family were about to attend was subject to threats and there was a very high risk of being attacked..

And you also knew there had already been threats and attacks on your community in the recent past..

You are saying Mutineer, that you would’ve just said “Yeah, whatever, we are going regardless”.. and taken your family along to it?

I must assess and act on risk differently to you..

Feels like there’s way more plastic/ foam in the equipment people buy.
You buy anything of size and the amount of plastic and foam is incredible, they’ve chosen to let this industry go and hammer the food industry.
I know we had to do something but eating off wooden cutlery sucks especially when we had excellent pla cutlery which is legal for bowls and cups but not cutlery.
I see your point, but we need to start somewhere to reduce landfill waste.

We eat everyday, so food industry was a big contributor to waste v 1 off type of buys. I find the wooden cutlery better than plastic ones personally. Also, see plastic bottles everywhere, which is why I gather they want to tether caps.

I reckon police and army should be allowed firearms..
Along with security... but the general public doesn’t really need apart from farmers, etc.

You're happy then for Bicks to have 6 guns. 😂

Yes, if you had been reading my posts, I'm comfortable for farmers to have a limited number of guns as they need it for their work.

But there needs to be a regular renewal of gun licenses to ensure the gun owner is still mentally fit to own a gun.

No one needs 100+ guns though.

I have no issues with trying to help the environment but it feels as with a lot of things it’s been rushed with out much thought to other areas that are affected.
I’d love to see a cost break down as invariably these bio items are heavier, which means more pollution from transport.
Also some these bio items are susceptible to heat which means items get returned and wasted.

Wouldn't have thought there is a huge weight difference in biodegradable items compared to plastic. The waste at least breaksdown unlike plastic, which reduces our landfill costs.

The lawyers will have fun with this. He may have had that tattoo for 20 years. Can they force him constitutionally to remove it?
Doesn't have to remove it, just needs to cover it up.

Should we be encouraging the publicity of hate?

Why feel sorry for this loser....

That’s the catch only in certain processes do some break down.
I can guarantee the weight on most of the stuff we use is far heavier.

I dont feel sorry for him. Far from it. Personally, I dislike tattoos of any sort. The symbol is hatefull but are they violating his rights?
He could argue that the swastika is a symbol used in a lot of cultures for different things. It was found on 5000 year old cultures.

Can't be that naive.
