Movies with Christmas in them, but aren't Christmas movies.

Around this time of year we see many Christmas movies, such as "Elf", "Bad Santa", "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation", "Home Alone 1 & 2", "Die Hard 1 & 2" etc.

Even movies like "Gremlins" and "Batman Returns" are Christmas movies.

But what movies can you think of where it has Christmas, but isn't a Christmas film?

What I mean is, it is a film not set at Christmas, but covers a period, but there is a scene or two set at Christmas, and other scenes set at other times of the year.

So it is not set at Christmas, but the movie covers a period of time, maybe a year or two years, for example, which includes a scene in the film which occurs during Christmas.

So what movies have a Christmas "scene" or two, but it isn't set solely at Christmas or New Year?

A Simple Plan (there are Christmas trees still up in the living rooms even though it is close to New Year's Day).

The French Connection begins with Gene Hackman undercover on the streets dressed as Santa.

I'm probably a few weeks late to the party, but one which goes the other way is the original 'The Amityville Horror' from 1979.

The Lutz family lived in their haunted Dutch Colonial house on Long Island's South Shore from mid-December 1975 to mid-January 1976, which of course means they spent Christmas 1975 in the house and it obviously didn't go very well.

Christmas was of course part of Jay Anson's novel 'The Amityville Horror', but when the book was adapted into the movie there was no mention of Christmas or New Year, and it seems to be set at an unspecified time of year likely early spring given it still seems to be cold but there is no snow, no mention of holidays and the leaves on the deciduous trees around the property are not turning red, orange and yellow to suggest an autumn setting.
