As you as a bastion of information and understanding around transportation information... Thanks.
You need to stop trying to be the resident comedian

I didn't see it, please link it again, so I can read it and question you about it.
Post 5441. I’m using a work issued phone which doesn’t allow me to cut and paste the link

Just quoting what Infrastructure Australia have said. The government has steadfastly refused to provide anything

Sttew work phone, New Years Eve. Posts on Bigfooty through it for whatever pathetic embarrassing reason. Sttew is insane. Future reference for search if wanted.

He is very knowledgeable but is also averse to seeing any fault in the Allen government it would appear. To say public transport is undervalued so we just have to accept what the government tells us is a massive cop out.

I am all for public transport and the Bog Build except the SRL because we don’t have a cogent business case or up to date costings. If funding the SRL is at the cost of core government services then you’ve got to ask is it the right time to be doing this.

Read the article. Do yourself a favour
Oh, read the article? That's much less imposing than stating that you're just disputing his position by 'quoting Infrastructure Australia'. Which makes it sound more like an official body, rather than some random bullshit that you like because it supports your position.

I’m insane? Pot calling kettle black. You just move from thread to thread provoking posters.
I'm consistently pushing you to engage.
You consistently run away.

You view being pushed and questioned as 'provoked', because you think everyone is bluffing like you.

I'm just looking for you to make a stand on an issue, so you can be pushed on it.
You're terrified of that, for some reason.
Why can't you hold a position? Maybe next year?
Read the article. How can you waltz into a thread half cocked and pretend to have context?

Read the article, maybe then we can discuss, otherwise POQ

I've asked you a repeated question about your posts in regards to the 'article', and you've never responded.

Why?

So, read the article from 'thenightly', or read the report from Infrastructure Australia (which you've not read or ever linked to).

Hmm. So you're just lying, and doing this never ending bs.

How do you do this?
Because I'd be really embarrassed. Most people would.
But somehow people like you just power through.

So now you have the link to the Infrastructure Australia report how about you be honest in your postings instead of calling me a liar???

Why have an authority like Infrastructure Australia if you completely disregard their recommendations?

Be honest for once

Thanks! Now can you please read it, and then let me know where to find the quote you've claimed comes from it?

Or maybe next year?
As you will no doubt have read IA said:

“Based on the information provided, we have low confidence in the cost estimate for SRL East, presenting a major risk to the SRL East project, and the SRL project as a whole”

What does that mean? Why would IA have said that?

And have you bothered to read the article linked in post 5439. That is where this started.

Busniess Cases consistently under value public transport. There is still far too much old car brain thinking that goes on.

As to the article. Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one.
If we listened to opinions then there wouldn't be a City Loop.

The Victorian Dept of Transport and Infrastructure Australia are very good at valuing infrastructure projects.

The Cabinet papers from 30 years ago just came out . This government has a sense of dejavu of Cain and Kirner financial incompetence .Throw in a the 96 Olympics bid with interest payments not released in docs and the comm games fiasco has a good guide for failure

However, newly released cabinet documents reveal key costs were not made public at the time.

This included about $80m in interest charges that were left out of financial summaries.

This meant the true price of financing major infrastructure over multiple years was understated.

Yes, Labor is literally reducing police station hours to save money. They can’t recruit police and you wonder why?

Any Jacinta Allan Labor shills want to defend this?

Is it strictly saving money, or is the money being diverted to other areas of law enforcement to improve performance? Haven't they stated they're reducing office staff in favour of more front line officers?

Why do you need every station staffed during hours where most of the calls going there will be of the non-urgent kind (e.g. noise complaints)?

If you're calling up to report excessive noise or petty vandalism, what does it matter if it's a station at Brunswick or East Brunswick that answers your call?

To offer a slightly different perspective, sometimes calls from west of Ballarat are responded to by police from Bacchus Marsh.

In the inner city, your point holds true. Not so much in some other places.

Brunswick East to Brunswick fine.. but they are closing stations down in outer metro areas.
