It’s almost unbelievable that she got lost really. How certain are they that she drove there under own steam. No body, but items and a vehicle. How do we know she drove the vehicle to that location.

Could there be someone else involved and her body is not at that location?

Looking at the socials as alot of platforms are talking about it.
People were saying the track had a decent upgrade after she went missing from their comments it used to over grown ribbons in trees etc.Now the track is easy to follow with yellow markers and warnings at the stairs.
There's signs saying track closed in the area she went missing from.

My question has nothing to do with the track itself. My question is how do we know for sure it was her that took her car and telephone there and not someone else covering their tracks who perhaps abducted her, murdered her elsewhere.

Unbelievable in that it was a short hike, but not hard to believe if / when someone becomes disoriented in the Tasmanian bush.

It's virtually impenetrable in areas through the horizontal, and places where it's so thick you just can't push through.

Then it can get so cold, so suddenly and unexpectedly. Panic sets in, disorientation sets in, and the worst happens.

If you watch Rob Parson's videos you'll see Celine did well for a person that had become lost. She plotted her points, she travelled in the right direction etc......until she dropped her phone.

From that moment on she was doomed.

She became hopelessly lost and succumbed to the elements imo, maybe a fall as her physical condition deteriorated, whilst her phone lay in the undergrowth for another 2+ days, silently pinging the last of its battery life away.

A sad outcome to what should've been an enjoyable, short hike.
See my other reply. I am not talking about getting lost. How do we know for sure it was her that got lost and not someone else disposing of the car and items.

Yeah it's a mystery.

I think they saying lost because it was winter limited about of day light .
But that's not much to go on.

It's a possibility I guess, but I think her GPS points, direction of travel, the way she followed the water race, then her efforts to beeline the hill etc - until she dropped her phone - strongly suggest a person who stepped off the track and became increasingly lost.

One thing springs to mind .
Looks like she past the stairs to the falls probably after viewing them.
The set of stairs is 210 stairs to falls.
If she got lost and wanted to head back to falls just bye looking at maps on phone.
The elevation could be mis leading .

Im not sure.

Without her body, any scenario is possible. The body needs to be found in order to exclude murder by person(s) unknown.

Who did she tell anyone she was going there. Did anyone see her driving there. Did she take a selfie on her phone there.

These are the basic questions whose answer helps to define the journey.

Have you watched Rob Parson's videos on Celine by chance?

Excellent viewing imo.

There's one video where he follows Celine's GPS points, and finds a spot where she stops at fork in the track so to speak, spends a few (8?) minutes, then moves on.

If my memory serves correct Rob theorises this may be the first moment that she becomes unsure as to which way to travel.

I'll have to find it and watch it back when I get a chance to ensure I'm recalling and explaining that correctly.

How in the hell would he know that? Did he know her?

This guy knows how she thinks and finds her missing items.

Why is he so infatuated with the case? Am I the only one who finds this odd.

He is extremely conversant with the landscape and bush in Tasmania. He's made many videos finding lost mines, landmarks, and even a Chinese miner's grave.

He analysed and followed her GPS points closely, and has conducted multiple searches with his dad and friends to find her.

He didn't find her missing phone, but he helped assemble the search party who eventually did.

Nothing suspicious in it at all.

I have watched a couple of his vids.

How did he get her GPS points? Is it public knowledge released by whom.

The phone data had already been used by the police and SES to physically re-trace her steps during the initial search, which they also marked with tape.

So I assume he sourced a copy from them, and I presume they in turn sourced it from her phone provider.

The police would not give this sort of information out.

He, and other searchers, were given permission to access her phone data by her family.
Thanks this makes much more sense.

I am still concerned that what has been plotted is the phone movement, not necessarily the missing person movement. Did the phone move for hours or days?

If it moved for days then I would assume it was her. If it was hours, then any possibility still exists.

He had the GPS data for her entire time in Tasmania.

He could see and follow her GPS / ping points on the day, which moved consistently, until he noticed the phone was pinging from the exact same location for approx 2 days, whereupon he theorised that she'd dropped it, which proved correct.

Interesting.

In his latest video Rob and his team learned from Celine's best friend that she was quite possibly carrying a small compass after losing her phone.

How would anyone know anything about what happened after she lost her phone?

Geez, they completely botched the handling of the new finds (bottle and garbage bags). I hope no evidence has been lost as a result.

I'm of the opinion that she succumbed to hypothermia during the night. If she had been using the garbage bags as protection against the rain, then her making the decision to leave those garbage bags behind at her last known location seems like a really poor decision. This could be a sign that hypothermia had advanced at this point so who knows what she could have decided to do after this? All of her previous logic and navigation she had used could be completely thrown out the window. I think this is ultimately going to make it very difficult to find her last resting place.

They also mentioned that a footprint had been discovered previously that was the same size as hers. I believe this footprint had been found in the initial search which took place about 1 week after she had been missing? If this is correct, i guess my question is, how long would a footprint last out there in an environment like that?

I think in a previous video, Rob mentioned that 3 psychic's had reached out to him about their visions of Celine and two of them made mention of her falling into a rock crevice. This is something i would be focussing on now if i was in Rob's position.

Yeah, I cringed when I saw the way the bottle and bag was handled.

Rob at least wore gloves that might prevent cross-contamination whereas his dad didn't.
