Northey been coaching Melbourne.

I watched Walls 72, 73. He could play. For Fitzroy too. Coached Fitzroy too. & the Bears.
Richmond and Carlton were trading flags them 68, 70, 72. Us 67, 69, 73, 74

Walls, Frawley, Wallace coaches from outside the club
The players loved Northey. He had them. They were playing accordingly. Look at the improvements from 94 to 95. Walls was respected, but, he wasn’t “loved” like Swooper was. All he wanted was an extension. History tells us what happened next.

Was much better when all the decisions were influenced by smoking and drinking.
And when it was a working man's game. No corporate boxes AFL management on multi million dollar salaries. BYO cans of VB no $13 half full plastic cups of midstrength swill. And don't get me going on the poxy music played when a goal is scored and play can't begin until the corporate whores have got their allotted commercial break time.

So here’s the book and situation. Swans are struggling and losing money in 94. The AFL is looking to reduce Vic teams and costs and offering financial incentives. I’ll post the Swans ladder positions in this post then 4 photos from Stan Alves book. You do the math on whether the AFL ****ed us in 94.

where is the part about tigers
We had put an offer on the table and Lockett had accepted. But don’t believe me. Believe AI when asked a question around the topic. So as per Alves book, they’re broke. As per my photo, Swans are ****ed. As per my news clip, Lockett has signed. Now read below….you tell me, did we get screwed in 94? IMG_1043.png

At the time it was quite obvious the AFL wanted less Victorian clubs and were pouring money into Sydney and Qld.

Always want to read books by sports people and coaches. Alves book pulled no punches.
Another great book is Pat Cashs book and a music book - James Freud - i am the voice left from drinking.
Do yourself a favour.

Yep, wanted their Nepo babies to succeed ahead of the heart and soul clubs.

They are all 50 to 60 yo and had their teams pounded by Richmond between 1967 and 1980 in their formative years. A sense of relief and self rightiousness from 1982 to 2016 from ages 10 to 50.

Then the childhood nightmare begins again 10 years ago.

Like imagine Shocking. Born in the mid 60s he grew up watching Richmond win 5 flags by age 15, Played from age 19 to 29 for no flags, and retired. Then Geelong jagged 3 flags without his involvement aged 42 to 47, before Richmond pounded his beloved cats when he returned to the afl/cats from age 52 to 55.

He's seen our 8 flags to 4. 5 when he was young and helpless, 3 on his watch as an adult. He couldnt win 1 as a player and missed 3 of their flags when they were better without him.

And here we are. No wonder the guy feels like he has something to prove.
