I doubt people will be to bothered tbh, I think the issue with the Lions is (not that I think it’s really an issue just luck and good management) them being elite and getting stronger every year (including draft) while not losing much.

1 out for 1 in won’t be an issue. And I could see Bailey getting offered a Zac Butters sized contract from Port of Butters doesn’t sign on.

That would be a smart move if port can convince Bailey to come and get there as a free agent

Port will 100% match Butters offer from any club and force a trade to get 3 1st rounders plus some change
then offer that cash to get Bailey as a free agent as Lions wouldnt be able to match a bid that high

Essendon have the spare cap to throw money at FA like Bailey & need to get experienced players in.
