Well it won’t happen with their no Net Zero policy. Buckleys chance.

They need 33 seats to get into majority government, good luck with that.
Indeed, they are playing into the Teals hands.

Both were senseless killing of Australians.

The lives of Non-Jewish Australians are worth as much as Jewish Australians.
Where exactly did I say or intimate non-jewish Australians lives were worth any less than that of Jewish Australians.

My point was the Akrams blatantly targeted Jewish people, Monis was a chronic schizophrenic (nutcase) with a very chequered past and the siege and ultimate deaths weren't solely targeted at Jewish people.

Go checkout Man Monis's wiki, he was nothing like the Akrams.

Both were ISIS inspired killings of innocent Australians. Both sets of killers were nutcases.

The fact that one targeted Jews & the other one doesn’t make one worse than the other!

It does when anti-Semitism is the sole factor that differentiates the two.

Once again you are intimating Jewish Australians are more important than Non-Jewish Australians.

Degradable plastics could be a game changer for waste...

And you're as dumb as 2 planks if that's your take.
You should re-read your posting as you are making a bigger deal of Jewish-Australian deaths than non-Jewish-Australian deaths.

Both ISIS inspired events were awful & neither is lesser than the other when it comes to remembering the victims, families & friends.

To be clear, this siege wasn’t an anti-Semitic, anti-Jewish, or anti-Christian attack. It was an incident where one self-proclaimed radical Islamic cleric, with a history of perpetrating obscene violence, including taking part in murdering his ex-wife and incinerating his body, took his personal beliefs to an extreme level. The ongoing problems are that there are other people, the world over, who operate from an ideology of fundamentalist extremism, and that most of us prefer to remain blind to this painful reality.

One final matter on a Royal Commission.

A Royal Commission can’t commence any proceedings until the courts have dealt with the matter concerning the incident at Bondi by the assailant.

Or I could be making shit up.
Evidence can be heard behind closed doors if an issue.

PM appears to soften stance on royal commission on Bondi terror attack

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will not rule out a royal commission into antisemitism and the Bondi Beach terror attack, insisting the government is doing everything it can to promote unity within the community.
Speaking from the flood-affected town of Cloncurry in Queensland's north-west this afternoon, Albanese did not unequivocally rule out establishing a royal commission, appearing to bend to growing pressure to hold one.
"We're continuing to examine everything else that is required, working with the (Jewish) community," he said.

So the start of the U-turn begins... he has been just been delaying the inevitable.

The RC cannot have a narrow focus, or it will be a waste of time & money. Needs to include a proper review into the law enforcement agencies.

If he does call one, it won’t just cover antisemitism, it will cover Islamophobia, the law enforcement agencies etc. It will be broad.

It will be so broad it will take years to complete - everyone asked for it so you will get it, just not the one the Jewish Community want.

Interesting thoughts about tax reform, but needs to be a complete overhaul, including ensuring the big corporations actually pay their fair share.

It has to be broad & cover all hate speech.

We should not tolerate any.

Hanson would be nervous.

A few hours ago you said it wouldn’t happen, now you know what the terms of reference are 😆

I wonder what’s changed? Could he have been wrong? You must feel like a chump now defending him

Anthony Albanese shifts position on royal commission into horror Bondi shooting

Anthony Albanese appears to have shifted his position on a royal commission into the Bondi shooting following wide-ranging demands from victims’ families, intelligence experts, business leaders and athletes

Anthony Albanese is expected to cave to calls for a federal royal commission into the Bondi terror attack after spending three weeks ignoring demands from victims’ families, sporting legends, business leaders and former and current Labor politicians.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister appeared to soften his language on an official probe and did not actively rule one out when asked.

Despite adamantly rejecting calls last week, Mr Albanese told reporters on Tuesday that he was speaking to Jewish community leaders “on a daily basis” and wanted to “make sure that we do everything that is possible to … promote unity”.

One senior source told The Daily Telegraph official confirmation of an about-turn could happen within days but others noted Mr Albanese could wait until parliament is recalled.

Mr Albanese said politicians would return to Canberra before the current slated start of February 4, as soon as hate speech reforms were drafted.

So now we have a bunch of eminent security and intelligence experts calling for a Royal Commission.

Nah, Albo and lefty fanbois are right, as for the Greens, what a bunch of flogs

I think it comes down to cost and what it will actually achieve versus action that could be taken immediately.

I'm all for them if they achieve something. However, we had no Royal Commission after Port Arthur nor after the Lindt siege so it's hard to tell whether this will actually achieve anything outside of what could immediately be reviewed/improved and put into place.

It's hard to take some of it seriously because a lot of the people who are publicly pushing for a RC are the same people who were previously complaining about 18c and wanted it weakened and claiming that other Royal Commissions like the Robodebt were a waste of time of money.
