Which wouldn't affect your standard modern day right-winger much to be fair. That would be a disaster. Some of her recommendations verge on outlawing thought.
He will read the room - ie country. Why?

I think you're just reading the front page of News Corp papers. As I said, there's no discussion among my social or professional circles about the need for an RC. I'd be surprised if anyone said it was the topic of choice at their last social catch-up. It might seem harsh to say, but people have moved on (cost of living, Venezuela etc) and will just accept whatever review comes in down the line.He will read the room - ie country.
Maybe, I dont think so, we'll seeHe will read the room - ie country.
Exactly. Be careful what you wish for.Do the Sky parrots even realise that Royal Commissions take public submissions?
They are shooting themselves in the foot.
Maybe some of our esteemed sports / showbiz stars can chip in some coin for the RC ??
Australian's like you and me have been doing it tough, after all
The sheer volume of the outcry from Murdoch and co. makes this obvious.
No. Because he’s not a leader. How much admiration would he have attracted if he’d taken charge like Chris Minns did. But he’s never been a leader, only a fixer, a negotiator, a numbers man. He’s reactive, looking for the politically expedient path where he and his government can minimise their responsibility. If he does decide to hold a RC, watch for the restricted guidelines, the narrow terms of reference, “to speed things up”If he was gonna call for a RC he should have just done it straight away ….. saying no and then folding a couple of weeks later is his worst scenario, just looks really week

Which is ironic, given they claim to be willing to die for freedom of speech.Which wouldn't affect your standard modern day right-winger much to be fair.
You can't help thinking that for a significant portion of the pro-RC crowd, this isn't about getting answers, it's about nailing Albanese.No. Because he’s not a leader. Oh, totally. You can't help thinking that for a significant portion of the pro-RC crowd, this isn't about getting answers, it's about nailing Albanese.
I dont think a person from another race being racist against my race is valid justification for me to be racist. Thats eye for an eye morality.Yeah, have the RC. It will identify many reasons for the rise in antisemitism. Netanyahu will be one of them.
Poster is talking about reasons, not justifications.I dont think a person from another race being racist against my race is valid justification for me to be racist. Thats eye for an eye morality.
Bec Judd is loud anti labor so they must have some interesting conversationsPat Rafter, Chris Judd, Sally Pearson and Ian Thorpe are all left wing Labor voters, so this is interesting.
But I believe sport and politics should be unlinked, so I don't agree with this. Interesting to see how it plays out
He needs to call on his mate dan Andrew’s for the way forwardI'd be very disappointed if he caved on this. It would be weakness due to pressure from right-winged media outlets.
As others have said, anyone with half a brain could write a report in a few hours detailing the major issues causing the Bondi shooting. Just get on with fixing the issues instead of wasting months (or years) telling us what we already know.
