Things That Shit Me the Eighteenth

I live in a small court, basically we park in whatever direction we want on the side of the road, no one has ever cared, I mean why would you really?

Anyway just after Xmas my missus and a few others in the court got tickets for it! Now this could only have happened with someone reporting it to the council, I've spoken to a few of my neighbours and I'm going to eliminate everyone one by one. So far we all agree it's the people renting, it's the only possible thing.

I hope they're happy we're all parking the right way now!

Wait so the complaint/ticket was because the cars are parked facing the wrong way to the side of the road parked on ?

That's madness (the Bay 13 me would side with the complainers, but that's such a campaignery thing to complain about).

Neighbours near me have security cameras everywhere, one bit of litter on their front lawn and we all get door knocked accusing us of being the rubbish dumpers.

On another rant I got a visit from the council by the neighbour as I was loitering near the clothing donation bins.
I was like YES I was donating a few bags of clothes and if the door to the compartment was oiled more frequently it wouldn't be a struggle to open it!

If you want to argue that people should park in their own driveways I can also get behind that

The newer areas seem to have car "parking" cut into the nature strip so more room on the road.

I was always told growing up that it was called Govett's Leap because in the 1800s a man had jumped off there on his horse to evade capture by police (a bit like Thelma & Louise). Today I found out that's only a legend. It's a bit like finding out Santa Claus isn't real.

I've spoken to the wife and little kids out the front, never spoken to the husband. Their next door neighbours reckons they haven't spoken to either of them, tried to say hello and got nothing apparently. I guess if you're renting it doesn't matter if you get along with the rest of the court too much, you'd still reckon you'd make half an attempt though.

There's a reason it’s mandatory on most minesites - it’s safer to drive out front ways than reverse out.

Having said that, if you can't do it first or second time at the most, then don't do it in crowded places until you can.

Just drove to/from Qld, there's country towns in NSW where all street parking is "reverse in at 45 degrees"... I reverse park into 90deg parks with no problem at all, but it really messed with my mind trying to do it deliberately half-arsed.

I dont think people/posters are Jealous i believe people just get shitty at them. Because the block people from moving to have 3 goes at getting it in.
