Yes .....and they would be applauded

Remember Roo's shirtfront back in the day .....it's forever shown in highlights of Roo ....he copped a lot of praise, I can't remember a commentator ever being negative about a player sending another off unconscious after a shirtfront

It was more a case of the unconscious player should not have put himself in that position
